Medicines, needles and solutions

in Weekend Experiences17 days ago

Being a mother of three for me this year has been very hard. Time fades away when I feel that I need to rest a little and it is time to prepare food or do something else.

A few weeks ago my two oldest children got sick, while one was coughing the other was sneezing, at night while I was putting water compresses on one of them I was giving medicine to the other one, it was days of sleepless nights.

Everything went worse when the viral process that the children were going through caught the baby. Since Tuesday she started with fever and was irritable, she did not want to eat and it was hard for her to sleep, on Thursday and Friday she had a lot of nasal congestion, even though I took her to the doctor here in my town as she was very small they only sent her anti-allergic and analgesics. I considered that for the degree in which she was with that strong flu, only those two medicines were not enough, on Saturday she spent the whole day with cough, and finally she was just complaining.

I was desperate to see my baby like that was very distressing, in this small town there are no specialized doctors or pediatricians, so I had to go to the nearest city to check her out.

As it was very early on Sunday morning, the specialist doctors would not consult until 10:00 a.m. I was desperate, the baby was coughing a lot, until the doctor came to the office and took my baby and gave her a thorough check-up. I was terrified to see how she washed her nose with physiological solution, but I understand it was necessary to do them so that she could be well, she had a high temperature, so she had to give her medication and therapy.

It was an improvement when I left the office, the baby slept a lot yesterday, I had to wake her up to give her medicine practically every hour and to do therapies and I have to do them for five days and the treatment with the medicine will be for seven days.

Thank God she has improved, the only thing left to do is to finish the treatment and she is more relieved and I am calmer... Greetings.
