I think the matter is different in each part of the world and depends on the local custom and on the individual too. I think chores should be shared equally as no woman is condemned to do housework and chores.

It Should be shared equally as being said which is what is practiced in most advanced countries but most African countries divert the chores to the women which is really not appropriate though.
I know that and did not want to name countries or continents that do that and even worse. However, this comes down to the individual as no one is going to forbid men to do chores. They chose not to as that's the custom. I hope one day they realize women are not slaves and not objects to own either. It's a slow process, but it needs to happen.
The equality between both genders need to be matched together and that would help balance the situation more.
