Regarding my son Santiago's birthday, on Saturday we went to the beach. He loves it and so do I, plus it's very close to home. We live in the wonderful and paradisiacal Isla de Margarita, it is very special and particular for its large number of beaches, it is highly sought after by tourists for vacations. In the Municipality where we live there are 7 very rich beaches, but in particular there are 2 very famous beaches throughout the Island which are Playa el Agua, where we have the privilege of living and the other beach is Playa Parguito.
In Playa Parguito the waters are more oceanic, which has made it a perfect place to practice water sports such as surfing and bodyboarding or morey. It is a beach with very strong waves. It is a favorite place for many people in any season of the year, but in high season it is very visited by tourists.
Playa Parguito has been the scene of important national and international surfing championships, it is a wonderful place where it is very relaxing to go and watch lovers of this particular water sport practice.
On this beach there is also a wide variety of restaurants and kiosks which offer typical foods of the region, fish, shellfish in any of its presentation, as well as drinks, you will also find vendors of any type of dry goods.
At one end of the beach there is a small hill from where you have a nice view of the beach and of Tirano, which is an important fishing village.
Playa Parguito is one of the favorite destinations for tourists and vacationers on the island of Margarita. It is a spectacular tropical paradise adorned by white sand and crystal blue waters.
On weekends it is normal to see how the beach is filled from end to end and you will be able to enjoy a festive atmosphere, since the young public is the one who feels the most in the place, with the music that is heard we can easily wait and enjoy a beautiful sunset.
The sunset on this popular and well-known beach is something without explanation. It really is just wonderful.
Seeing the joy and enjoyment of children and young people feeds the soul. I simply recommend it if one day you have the opportunity, do not forget to visit it. At home, as we live nearby, we visit it frequently, my son likes to bodyboard and the rest of the family enjoys its lively environment throughout the day.

When I was a teenager I went every weekend. I had several surfing friends and there were many competitions but I'm a little afraid of the waves, however it is a beautiful beach.
