The weather in my place especially yesterday was uncontrollably hot throughout. It was unfavourable and unresistible and their was no power supply for us to make use of our fans and air-conditioners. The inhabitants of my area were lamenting on the poor power supply of the area which has caused us so many lapses and the chairman of our society kept on lavishing and wasting funds raised for all these lapses.
The chairman and his partners failed to pay attention to things that are requiring fixing. During afternoons, we feel as if we are placed directly near the sun because the hot weather was very hurting and scorching.
This even limited the number of farmers going to farm to work because they could not bear the harshness of the weather. Although, most farmers managed because their would be no food supply for the community and their would be no profit for the farmers. I know that because we are in the dry season that is why we are experiencing this situation. But this is the worst ever we have come across. We use to experience this in the week but yesterday, i mean Sunday, own was enormous with people especially men pulling off their clothes with the aim of getting fresh air.
Even in the night, very low amount of fresh air was blowing, yesterday experience was indeed devastating. People could not bear and our chairman and his people had a fault in that also because the neighbouring city near us are enjoying power supply, Although they were experiencing the same situation of hot weather but the functioning of the transformers has made them resolute to the employing of fans and air-conditioners and this has been working perfectly for them. Some people who can afford generators for electricity in our area put on their generators but it is really affecting some people because of the recent hikeup of the price of fuel but those who can afford it do buy fuel in large quantities in order for them not to suffer from the experience of the tormenting heat but those who are poor take off their clothes and use anything light to fan themselves to reduce the effect of the heat.
