Hello once again to my friends in the Weekend Experiences. Hope you all are having a good one!
It was my grandmother who conviced me to go there. However, I still thought it could be a soulless travel. Nowadays I always thank her for changing my mind about it.
When we got there, we stayed in a small hotel, which was in front of the Queen Emma Bridge, near Brion Square. It was truly a sensational view. Through my window I could contemplate the peace and colorfulness that this place offered.
From outdoor restaurants to perfume shops, this multicolored area had a little bit of everything. For a while we decided to walk around, trying to, you know, look for the best bargains.
The so-called Handelskade, the street with the colorful buildings, was the start of the shopping. I still remember we visited Penha, a perfumery with all kinds of exquisite fragrances.
Then we did some clothes shopping here and there. Suddenly, the first day in Curaçao was over.
Next morning, we wanted to just have fun. To that end, we went to the Curaçao Sea Aquarium, where my favorite part was seeing seals and dolphins doing all kinds of tricks.
Oh, I almost forgot to mention that while touring the island a bit, since we spent only 3 days there, we visited a small shopping center. It was the Bloempot Shopping Center. A place that may have stayed stuck on my mind for being one of the last places where I took a picture with my grandmother.
In conclusion, Curaçao was for me a pleasant surprise full of interesting and memorable places that I would recommend anyone to visit whenever they can.
