RE: Weekend-Engagement - Doing it or not

in Weekend Experiences2 years ago

Thanks for your great post mate, honesty and the realness you brought to it. This is exactly what I had in mind for the topics this week. You knocked it out of the park man. Great text and photos too.

The situation, it's a really difficult one, especially if there's attraction. I guess in situations like this it's important to prioritise what's the most valuable thing, which you did and to have some integrity, which you did. I don't blame the girl for her actions, the whole thing was going south anyway, but she was a little ill-timed I guess. Breaking it off, letting some time elapse and then making the move on you would have been better. I think you both did well though, she did the right thing the next day and you did right by your friend.

Thanks man. The topics were really great because in any of them I am sure anyone can relate and a share a personal experience. I liked all topics I felt really good sharing a personal experience and reminiscing the old days and I might write posts about the others even if the deadline is over.

I've been doing this for 153 weeks now and the topics are sometimes difficult to come up with, but I always try to keep them relatable and sometimes like making them challenging. With this week's, I wanted to push people's thinking a little and also see if I could draw out any real-life stories like your own.

There's still just under 48 hours to run on this week's topics as of the moment I wrote this comment. Peakd has a countdown timer if you're interested.

I do believe that the priority are always keeping the relationship that are already build. Yes you never know what a new girl or relationship might bring to the table but when you are making the decision I believe preserving a friendship of a lifetime is worth it

Yep, life-long friendships are not easily created and should be protected. I think you did well.
