Oh wow I have definitely been excited and it's starting to get about that season around here. I have definitely been meaning to get out into the forest and with fire danger all the summer I have avoided getting out due to the danger.
Especially having the extremely fast moving forest fires that the Pacific Northwest is getting known for because of the overabundance of fuel.
However that's going to be another problem is getting in and accessing all these areas where life is rejuvenating and there are so many more mushrooms exploding everywhere and helping to bring life back.
We have chanterelle mushrooms and morels as well as quite a few other different amazing edible mushrooms out there as well as truffles.
And actually thinking back on it I have run across truffles as well and unfortunately instead of collecting them and selling them as apparently they're extremely expensive I use them as projectiles and throwing practice....
Yep I was pretty dumb kid. However just because I do remember all of these different areas and these different microclimates that grow in I really can't wait for this year and getting to go explore the woods and as well find some really good munchies.
