Picture this, you got up at 4.45 am to go on a nature hike and climb to the highest point on the island. There are family and friends and you have fun climbing... It distracts from the fact that even though this is your 6th time on the mountain you kinda struggle this time... But the fun must go on, you reach the top... You snap your pictures, have your breakfast and climb back down. Sounds like a highlight already right? I know but bare with me!
After you get down and you sit in the nature park to rest and reflect on the adventure. A plan is set in motion... "where are we going?"
"let's go to Grote Knip (a famous beach in Curacao) to cool off"...
So you get in car and drive for about 15 min to get to your next destination.
Now normally you would go right down to the beach... But no, this time you're waiting for a scheduled call about a potential project (cause entrepreneurial life doesn't stop!). So you tell the group to go ahead and you take a seat on a bench.... But not a normal bench, no no!
This is a bench on a cliff overlooking the beach and the clear blue ocean....
And that's not all, it's 11 am so it's hot.. But you're so cool at this point... Because you know what? You're in the shade 😃😃😃.
So you decide to really make the moment work and you take off your slippers, use it as a pillow and you lay down on the bench...wind blowing, birds chirping, ocean sounds and... this view.....
So this is my first engage the weekend post.

I wasn't sure about the rules and I kept it at the one picture... But I have more for the story if it turns out I'm allowed to use more 😃😃😃.

Sounds like a wonderful place, little bit of everything! A nice nature hike then down to the ocean is an incredible journey for a day. For us going from the mountains to the beach involves many hours of a drive lol but that's okay, love doing all of it!
It is 😃! I guess that's one of the perks of living on a small Island!
So if you had to choose which one would it be, mountain or beach? 👀
Ah well it's completely scenario specific! Some days I want to be in the mountains, hiking, snowboarding or just getting out there for the peace and quiet away from people. Other days I want to be on the beach with my toes in the sand building sand castles. It's pretty nice living in a place where the beach is an hour away but so isn't a mountain to do that stuff!
If it's long term living though, you'll find me at the beach lol love the ocean and air!
