Now that the holiday season has ended, it's time to head back to the city and get back to work. Luckily, we have our trusty motorcycle to take us on new adventures, and today we've decided to travel from our hometown Caduawan, Tabogon of Cebu to Cebu City main in the Philippines. We're taking a scenic route this time, heading from Tabogon to the Transcentral Highway - Balamban until we reach Cebu City proper. It's exciting to explore new places and see what the city has in store for us.

If you are from Northern Cebu, Cebu City, Philippines you'll know that from Cebu City main, that is then, followed by, Mandaue, Consolacion, Liloan, Compostela, Danao, Carmen, Catmon, Sogod, then our beautiful town of Tabogon. But today, we decided to take the much scenic route. From Tabogon, Borbon, Tabuelan, Tuburan, Asturias, Balamban, Busay, then Cebu City main. Another way to get to the city in a much scenic route.

Since we've been driving on the main highway for years, we decided to take a new route this time and explore new places. We're a bit cautious, though, since we're not familiar with the roads because it is our first time to pass by here. We made sure our motorcycle was in good condition and had enough gas for the long journey ahead.

From our hometown, Caduawan, Tabogon, Cebu we passed by conversion Of Saint Paul Parish located in Lugo, Borbon, Northern Cebu City Philippines heading towards the town of Tabuelan.

If you plan on taking this route, it's essential to prepare accordingly. Since there are limited establishments in the area, it's recommended to fill up on gas before heading out. Additionally, there may be areas with no Wi-Fi or mobile data, so it's crucial to pay attention to road signs and ask locals for directions if needed. It's also a good idea to ensure that your motorcycle is in good condition before embarking on the journey.

These are the days when I realize that we need a car. We have so much baggage, and it's not that hard, but it's not that convenient to bring all of these, which is a motorcycle, but it's what we have as of the moment. Let's just get used to it. Then, from here, we traveled, going to the town of Tabuelan, also another town in the northernmost part of Cebu City, Philippines, as well.

Watching the scenic view is a relaxing and refreshing experience that cannot be compared to anything else. The joy and serenity that nature brings are unmatched. It is highly recommended that when traveling these roads, extra care should be taken as they are curvy. If you are not familiar with the roads, it is best to always drive with caution. Passing through these roads made me realize that there are so many beautiful places in Northern Cebu. It has also helped me appreciate the beauty of nature even more.

When traveling to unfamiliar places, we often rely on technology like Waze or Google Maps for directions. However, in the absence of Wi-fi, we have to look for other options. During our recent trip to Tabuelan, we found ourselves in this situation. We scanned the surroundings for signages and when we finally spotted one, we knew we had arrived in the town.

At the corner, there was an intersection with three options - heading towards Tabuelan Port if you are gonna go straight, Tuburan if you will head left and San Remigio if you will head right. Since our destination was Cebu City, we took a left turn towards the Tuburan area.

We turned left.

After a few hours of traveling, we decided to stop over and relax. I was amazed by this view, and I had to take a photo of it. My driver struck a pose, and it was such picture-perfect scenery.

As we journeyed on, we stumbled upon a quaint cafe and realized that we had reached Tuburan, our intended destination. To avoid losing our way, we frequently sought guidance from the locals we met along the route. The signage proved to be a helpful marker in identifying our location and ensuring that we were on the right track.

As we are unfamiliar with this route, it is crucial that we take the time to observe the signage along the way. It is important to have clear signatures posted at various locations, as not all travelers are locals or familiar with the area. For individuals like us who do not have access to Wi-fi or mobile data connection, relying on these signages and asking locals for directions is essential. Building connections with strangers can also assist us in avoiding getting lost.

From the town of Tuburan, we passed by the town of Asturias, then the town of Balamban.

During my travels through the area, I came across a gas station in the town of Balamban that caught my attention. Situated on a mountainside, it boasted breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. Although I was tempted to stop and take in the scenery, we still had a ways to go, so I simply snapped some photos and continued on our journey. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the area had much to offer in terms of beautiful vistas and tourist attractions, which were easily accessible from the main roads.

The view from Transcentral Highway in Balamban is breathtaking. It's just a few kilometers away, and we are already in Cebu City proper. I'm glad we took this route not only because it's scenic but also because it's the closest route to our stay in Lahug, Cebu City. If we continue straight, it will take us to the Busay route, and then to Lahug, Cebu City where we are staying, it's easily accessible from our location indeed.

On weekends and holidays, many motorcycle enthusiasts come here for a ride or an adventure. However, there have been accidents in the area due to the curvy roads. Those who speed are more likely to get into accidents because the roads are hazardous. It's important to be cautious since there are many cliffs in the area. If you plan on riding these roads, make sure your brakes are fully functional and take extra care.

If you want to know whether I will take this route again or stick to the usual highway route, I'd say I might retake this route sometime if I have the luxury of time for a leisurely road trip. However, if speed is a priority and you want to get to the city faster, the highway route is a better option. This route is perfect for those who seek adventure and scenic views. But if the goal is to simply get home quickly, the usual route on the main highway is the way to go.

Hope you all get to arrive safely to all your destinations. Ciao!☺︎♡

A long time ago, I took a lesson at the University about Southern Asia Culture and History, and I would like to ask you something... About culture heritage, Philippines is a country related with the hispanicamerican culture and language isn't it?

Thank you for sharing your adventurous experience @heyitsjian. It's very challenging to have a long-distance ride bringing a heavy load while on travel. Keep safe on your trip.

Thank you for dropping by and spending time to read my blog as well. Since my beau put it all on the front part, it made me comfortable and I did not felt that much burden. The only pain is the pain from sitting for how many hours. Thank you so much☺︎♡
