This weekend was all about outdoor fun, and one of the highlights was trying golf for the very first time. I’ve always associated golf with expensive memberships, high-end clubs, and perfectly manicured courses in the city. But here in the province, it’s surprisingly accessible—and thankfully, much cheaper. That alone already made me a little more excited (and a lot less intimidated) to finally give it a try.

When I arrived at the golf course, the atmosphere immediately felt different from what I imagined. Instead of stiff, overly formal vibes, it was relaxed and open, with fresh air brushing against my face and wide green spaces stretching out before me. It looked serene, but also a bit daunting. I mean, how hard could it be to hit a ball, right? Turns out… harder than it looks.

My first few swings were more like enthusiastic attempts at shooing away imaginary flies. The ball barely moved, and at one point, it even rolled sadly to the side instead of flying into the distance like I hoped. But after a bit of guidance (and a lot of laughter at myself), I slowly got the hang of it. There was something very satisfying about finally hearing that clean, crisp thwack when the club met the ball just right. It wasn’t perfect, but it was enough to make me feel like I achieved a small victory.

What surprised me most was how calming golf can be. There’s a certain rhythm to it—standing still, focusing, breathing, and then swinging with intention. It was both relaxing and challenging at the same time. And because the fees here are so affordable, I didn’t feel pressured to perform or maximize every minute. I could just enjoy the experience.
By the end of the session, my arms were a bit tired, but my heart felt full. I never expected to enjoy golf this much. It made me appreciate the kind of simple, accessible activities the province offers—things that might feel intimidating elsewhere but become fun little adventures here.
Trying golf for the first time was definitely a weekend highlight, and I’m already looking forward to my next swing.
That's it for today's blog. See you in my next one!
Sending some love and light

Thanks for sharing your fun story Sis. where is this golf course?
Its somewhere in Pagadian City :)
Ohhh, so cool, they have it there. I'm curious how much it cost and how long can you stay 🤔. May golf course around Bansud, kelan ko lang actually nalaman haha. It looks fun but kinda boring for me. But what makes it fun was the place din talaga eh. Ang ganda coz all greens everywhere.
Hii sis. If sa cebu, medj pricey tlga yung golf course. It would range around 1-2k. But we went to Pagadian, mas cheaper sa kanina since you only need to pay the bucket.
OmG.... You just successfully took me down the memory lane 🥺🥺.
My first time was no different from all you laid out. The cool and welcoming environment, the swinging of clubs while the ball remains right sitted on the tee, lol and the excitement of getting it to go a better distance after rolling simply to the side.
The times I spent on the golf course are memories I hold on to. I do have it on my to-do list to go back to golfing 🧡.
If golf is your passion, then go for it :)
Sure 😊.....
