Hello dear hivers, How’s life doing? I hope you are doing fine. Its weekend again full of rest time I hope so. Lolz . Its me again @john0928 and today I’ll be sharing a little story of my life. In many of the topics that @galenkp suggest “What event in your life would you say had the most profound effect on how you? Explain” this question struck me the most of all.
For the information of others I am now on my senior year and just a little bit step I will be graduating. One of our requirement in my academic track is to have an OJT (On the Job Training). I am very excited for this opportunity as I didn’t experience my Work Emersion when i was in High School because of the Pandemic hit.
During the enrollment our instructors orient as about our OJT. They told to look for a company where we will do our On the Job Trainings so me and my classmates go to nearest offices at our Community and sadly they are all full of OJT’s and can’t cater anymore. So we go to Baguio City to have a company hunt for our OJT. We went to each of the building their and sadly we got not pass to enter as their OJT.
When we didn’t not have any company to find we called our instructor about this and she suggest as to other company but it was to far from our school and that is the “Hytec Power Inc.” Hytec Power Inc. is located at Manila or others named this as “City of Opportunity or Center of All” . so far this the most biggest Trading city of the Philippines.
When I got to hear this update I got excited at the same time I got nervous because this now too far from my comfort zone .
But I realized that this experience of OJT can make a big step to boost my self confidence, learn to communicate and expand my network, and also to be become more open minded to what will be the opportunities that I can get besides to the opportunity that is present on our province.
This is the first time that I will be solo travelling to Manila City. When I got too past the arc it looks that I got totally traveled into the other world.
From the tall trees and greeny environment and a chirp of birds into the Big and tall shinning buildings and a very unending loud sounds of cars. At my first day to the city I noticed the people in here is not sleeping its 24 hours on business. People here are too serious and they not wasting there every minute of the time .
In my first week staying at the city I realized that moving to the Manila to have my on the job training has been a big opener for me . At first I thought that it was just about earning money. But I realized that this is just more than that and its about learning how to adapt , survive and grow. Manila is a fast paced city full of opportunities but also full of challenges. This On the Job training taught me independence, time management, and ow to pushforward even when things get tough.
While I miss the comfort of my home at the province, Ive come to appreciate my experience here at the city because it helping shape me into a stringer and a more responsible version of myself.
