A memorable experience with friends at the weekend, namely climbing Mount Gede with the main aim of building a tent to spend the night at Surya Kencana. An activity that is difficult to do because of busy daily work. Our journey started from Putri basecamp in the afternoon with a fairly tiring climb.
After post 5 we arrived at Surya Kencana which was our destination. This is a favorite area for climbers to set up tents. A very wide expanse of grassland under the peak of Mount Gede with several edelweiss flowering trees which are characteristic of Surya Kencana. We built a tent here along with a stretch of climbers' tents.
After spending the night we headed to the top of Mount Gede. One satisfaction is being at the top of Mount Gede, my friends and I are proud to be able to raise the flag at the top of Mount Gede.
