Nature is bringing back the contrast

The last couple of weeks I have been more than adaptive to what the weather in Holland is doing and what is smart to choose the moment. Is the sun out and it is feeling like spring? Do some yard work, plant some seeds, walk around in the forests. And leave everything else to the moment where you know it will rain again.

Because that is the current deal. Some super nice hours of sunshine and sweet temperatures, and then just a couple hours later total mayhem and just weather to cuddle up inside.

And the same deal is currently happening in nature when you look at is a bit closer. Some parts are still in deep winter sleep and all brown, like this tree which looks a bit like it is having a skin of a snake even. Or does it remind you more of dried out desert soil. That could also be true.

The on the other hand you just have stuff growing and coming out of winter sleep and looking so damn vibrant. Just look at this moss. You could just want to cover something and make a warm blanket out of it if you ask me!

It really feels like seizing the moment when it comes to being outdoors. And honestly, in my work indoors and the shift in jobs and being a little bit too busy with that...It is really nice to be outside.

I have even been cutting out the blackberry bushes which is a drag of a job because everything is still so spikey. It is a two season bush and the branches that gave blackberries last year will die and turn to old wood which means they can also be cutten out.

But damn that is a harsh job. But cutting them out while having some music on the background in the sun is not the worst thing to do actually.

And it is also a good moment to see what else is growing there and if you would want to keep it. If so, let it sprout and see what happens over the next couple of weeks while the sun is getting stronger and the temperatures are getting higher but the level of moist is good.

But in the woods there is still a lot of work to do. In Holland in general the wind is coming out of the west and if the ground is moisty and the wind picks up...Well, that means every now and then one tips over.

They leave those fallen trees there because the little critters will start to live there, but until that time it looks terrible. Ow well, nature right?

I like the phase when everything is starting to wake up again, including myself. It feels good to be outside more and just hoover around a bit and see what happens. It doesn't even have to be complete summer, just some better temperatures and especially a lot less gray....

That is all enough for me to feel alive and kicking again. Bring in the contrast!

That was just what I said today to @pardinus!
As the days get longer and the weather warmer, my life becomes so much easier! I want to exercise, clean the house, and even follow the diet that I should always follow more seriously... and not just from time to time... Ahahah

haha exactly this. Energy mode like 10 times bigger than it was in the past couple of weeks. Love it!

Man, if you want to clean the house, I might have something for you... 🤣🤣🤣

That first image looks like a pine tree.

I love spring. I enjoy watching nature wake up. My rose bushes start blooming and the ants slowly start foraging.

Good eyes! It is a gigantic pine tree indeed,

Ahhh yeah the ants are like everywhere at the moment it feels. Nice to hear it is also waking up by you

I grew up in Florida where pine trees are prevalent in some areas. Beautiful trees.

Every minute spent near nature is well spent. Today we could almost walk around in Tshirts... gotta love the sun and the portuguese weather! !LUV
