Emotions are what make us human. They're what you'd call "the spice of life" – the highs, the lows, the laughs, the tears and all. Without them, we'd no doubt be like robots. Lol.

Various things or factors can trigger or spark emotional responses in people. Also people can react to same situation differently. For example, a surprise party can evoke feelings of laughter. In a situation whereby the person being surprised acts totally clunky, reacts super funny - that'll surely crack everyone up. This same surprise party can equally make someone cry. Since they weren't expecting it, they can feel embarrassed, hurt or overwhelmed, and then drop a tear or two.
A funny joke, movie or story can flip my laugh switch. Hehehe. Silly situations, playful teasing from friends, ridiculous moments, can do the magic too.
I recall the day I slipped and landed on my butt. Ouch! Despite the pain, I ended up laughing at how silly it looked. Luckily, I was the only one home and that made embarrassment a little less. Lol.
And the things that can really make me break down - a wrong accusation or while explaining tough times, a loss either of a loved one, a pet or something valuable. More so, an overwhelming stress, physical pain or when someone around me is hurting, I feel it too, and it can bring me to tears. I'm empathetic as fuvk. Lol.

One incident that hit me hard was about a family friend's puppy. It died in my hands after my brother's tricycle accidentally ran over it. No one had the slightest idea that she was resting under the danmed tricycle. The moment it ran over her, she let out a cry that pierced through my heart. I rushed, carried her with the hope she wasn't hurt much, but seeing how she was whimpering and fighting for breath told me otherwise. The sound of its pain, the way it looked at me as it breathed it's last broke me - I didn't just cry, I wept. Even as I headed home after the incident, I was still tearing up - the pain of seeing something innocent suffer like that lingered. Writing this now almost made me tear up. I wouldn't want to experience such again, but you know, experiences like that are part of life.
I'm what you'd call an emotional person - little things get to me. I'm simple like that. ❤️
Thanks for coming around.

That's human nature to feel emotions and feel the joy and hurt of others also.
Indeed. Such emotions can't be subdued. Thank you.

Chai my fellow emotional sister.... little things impress me as well as get me overwhelmed.
We are humans and it's Okey to feel that way.
Some people will say it's just a dog that died not human... But the situation around the death triggered Ur emotions.
Sometimes I wish I was different - maybe had a strong heart so I won't always be this emotional, but otilor. Lol. In fact, it's as if it shows up more as I age.
You're right. Moreover, I love dogs and that particular one was kind of my adopted pet. So the incident was all overwhelming for me.
Have a pleasant week ahead.

Blessed are the emotions!
What they tell us about that puppy and your experience speaks volumes about you, your qualities, and your human values. Sending you a big hug of light!
Thanks for the vibes. Blessed are the emotions indeed – they tell stories about us, like how that puppy moment showed my softer side. Hug of light right back.
