Inspired by the Weekend Engagement Topics: Week 276, I'm responding to two questions that caught my attention:

‎"What do you do to keep a positive attitude in difficult times? Explain with examples."

‎and

"How have you been selfless? Give one or two examples and explain."

Keeping A Positive Attitude

‎These past few days, I've been in a whirlwind of stress and frustration.

‎It all started when my hubby noticed that our laptop, our lifeline for online work, had developed a small dent on its screen.

‎At first, it seemed like a minor issue, but soon we realized that it was affecting our ability to work efficiently.

‎The images got distorted, and the text became blurry, making it challenging to focus on our tasks.

‎In a span of just one day, our electric kettle and stove also decided to stop working altogether.

‎Can you imagine the stress that began to mount?

‎Figuring out how to cook meals and boil water, was daunting.

‎For me, juggling multiple problems at once is considered "difficult times".

‎So, what strategies helped me maintain a positive outlook?

‎One thing is taking a moment to reflect on my day, focusing on the good things that have happened.

‎Like the day I faced the challenges, I remembered the simple snack our friends shared with us, the fresh fruits my mom brought for dinner, and the surprise cash my dad had given us earlier that day.

Those are just small gestures, but they brought me joy and comfort during these stressful times.

‎Also when I feel the tension, I prioritize physical activities that I enjoy.

‎A simple stretching or jumping rope, helps me clear my mind and makes a big difference in how I feel.

Using jump rope as a stress reliever

So by realizing how God had been good to me in so many ways, and by taking care of myself, I'm able to face challenges with a more positive attitude.

‎I'm Selfless

‎As a mother, selflessness is not just a virtue, but a way of life.

‎Being a mom of two, I've had to put aside my own desires and personal comforts just to ensure their needs are met.

With my little ones

It's a sacrifice I willingly make, knowing that it's all worth it to see my child benefit.

‎One thing I remember I used to enjoy before was my long, relaxing baths, savoring every moment of peace. 😶

‎But now? Even a quick shower is a luxury I can only dream of.

‎Also, I've had to prioritize efficiency over enjoyment when it comes to meals.

‎The days of savoring my favorite dishes, or enjoying a leisurely meal with friends are gone now.

A meal without distractions before 🤭

Usually, I would rush through my food while tending to my child's needs or multitasking to get everything done.

‎And here's another one, my sleep.

‎As a breastfeeding mom, my nights are frequently interrupted.

‎It's not always easy, but I know it's a temporary sacrifice that will benefit my child in the long run.

My baby, who needed me in the night

‎My priorities, my own dreams, are now on hold, too.

‎So yeah, being a mother requires a selfless role and dedication.

‎Putting my child's needs before my own is my way of showing love and care.

‎A selfless mom, indeed.

‎So that's my response to "Week 276" of weekend-engagement by @galenkp.

‎Until my next answer...

‎Thanks for the visit! Have a lovely day. Buh-bye. 💗🌸

Your baby is so adorable! 🥰
It’s true that when you became a Mom, your baby will be the most priority of your life, it maybe overwhelming but the happiness and satisfaction makes you feel whole all the time 🥰 God bless you and baby 🥰

Thank you 🥰 Yeah, sometimes your self-care is neglected too just for your kids. But it will probably be worth it, especially when you see them clean and healthy.
