Daniela Pinos Salas was born in the city of Caracas on April 1, 1960, she is considered an altruistic person, she inherited her humility and nobility from her grandfather Don Vicente Pinos Salas who was the brother of Don Tulio Febres Cordero, she together with her brother, maintain in good conditions the Hacienda Moconoque, where they crystallized the dream of her father, which was to build a school for the benefit of the community, thus succeeding in founding the Escuela de Labores y Oficios Moconoque, with the support of the Escuela Fransisco Santiago and Professor Jose Guerrero, They were able to found the Escuela de Labores y Oficios Moconoque, with the support of the Fransisco Santiago School and Professor Jose Guerrero, who is in charge of this institution, gave the initiation of this school, which is composed of two departments: Culinary Art and Sewing.

This school offers the opportunity and support to the community to learn how to work with handicrafts in an ecological way. Mrs. Dora Sànchez is in charge of the wool department where she prepares wool of different colors with plants extracted from the area.
The symbol of this school is the Vetiver plant, a kind plant, which is a member of the gramineous family, its scientific name is: Chrysopogon zizanioides, native of India. It was imported to Venezuela during the colonial period to build the houses of tapia. Vetiver can grow up to 1.5 meters, its stems are tall, the leaves are long, thin and rigid.

Unlike most grasses, the roots of vetiver grow massively vertically and reach a depth of up to 4 meters, it is an alternative for the protection of terraces of greenhouses against erosion. With this plant they make handmade figures such as the egg hen, the condor, the eagle, the owl, the squirrel, butterfly and the figures used for the ecological float in honor of San Isidro Labrador in his Patron Saint's Day. Currently there are people of all ages working in this school, producing handicrafts and teaching the next generations.
