The best picnic//Weekend-engagement | week°163

Ufff if I had to choose which of all the picnics I've had with my current friends it would be very difficult, for every little thing we go to a park near the university where we study and sit down to hang out and eat something (even if it's just a cookie for 8 people hahaha). But since the question is what was my best picnic, I think I would choose the one that started this amazing group.

The day of this first picnic was the 24th of February of this year, day of a small closing of our first academic term at the University. It is worth mentioning that my classmates and I had never been close to each other to socialize about anything other than our studies, so we did not know each other as such. By the end of the day, when the closing activity at the University was over, we had talked a bit more and at least introduced ourselves.

Since, apparently, none of us had anything better to do, we agreed to walk to a park about 2 kilometers from the university to hang out. We also had some things left to share such as cookies, bread and soda (we had brought these for the activity but didn't have time to share them with the whole section) so we put together an improvised picnic.

There at the picnic we got to know each other better, we talked about everything a little bit, we played dynamic games, we ate what I mentioned before, we expressed our first impressions of each other and we had a very good time. We lasted from 12 noon until approximately 5pm in the park until it was time for each of us to go home.

From that day on we started sitting together during classes, talking to each other, created a WhatsApp group chat and became good friends. Now we hang out together very often (sometimes up to 3 times a week) and tell each other almost everything.

I think as university students, the food might not be spectacular, but it's a great way to get to know more about each other, and break away from the stress that comes from your studies:)

Oh gosh, I suddenly miss my college friends. We often visit the Park durint our break time and we also do some food tripping, taking groupies and chit chatting. How I miss those times. Treasure your friend and they will treasure you too ฅ^•ﻌ•^ฅ
