Spending Weekend at Eden Nature Park, Davao City

in Weekend Experiences10 months ago (edited)

Spending time with family, I say is really one of the best memories that we can give to our children. The last month and this month have been busy months for us for schooling, work, and other activities and I think, my kids deserved to have this weekend trip with us.

Last weekend, we spent a day tour in one of the most known resorts and nature parks in Davao City, the Eden Resort and Nature Park. If driving from the city center, you will be spending around an hour or more depending on traffic conditions. It is located in Bayabas Toril. It has many activities for a day tour, and we chose the activities that all will enjoy and are within our budget.

We chose the Fishing Village Day Tour, which includes entrance to all free sights and activities and consumables for food. The most exciting part is that we will catch fish from the pond and we will request the chef to cook it. The kids were so excited, we will be catching tilapia and hito through a fishing tackle. The attendants put earthworms in the fish hook and the kids waited for the time the fish will eat.

As the tackle was pulled, signaling that they caught something, the kids were very happy, my heart was so full as I see them giggle in glee at what they caught.

After catching the fish, we also ordered some food for lunch and while waiting for our order to be prepared, we go to the children's park where the kids enjoyed playing.

After a little while, raindrops fall and we decided to be back to the hut in the fishing village to wait for our orders to arrive.
Minutes later, our food was ready! We ordered nilagang pork, vegetable salad, ensaladang talong and of course our fresh catch, we requested for deep fry recipe.

The kids liked the food, I mean the whole family. We really enjoyed the fellowship with each other and I can see the fulfillment in the kid's faces that they were able to eat what they caught a while ago. After eating, we still have leftovers which we packed to bring home.

Even if it's raining, we decided to visit the places that we can go even if there was no shuttle.

We went to the deer farm, where we see many deers and peacocks freely roaming around.

Then, we hike a little and reach the Rainbow Flower Garden. We were able to take pictures and the kids were amazed at the different kinds and colors of flowers around.

There were still many sights to visit in Eden and there were also other outdoor activities but we chose to stop because of the rain and then we did not avail of the shuttle since we don't have the budget for it anymore but our stay was still "sulit", a worthwhile weekend experience.

Hopefully next time, we can come back again to this place for more experience. Indeed, it was a weekend well spent and I thank the Lord for the provision of our needs and also for the safe travels. To more travels!

I hope that you enjoyed reading this article as much as we do!
