The school year 2022-2023 in Philippine public schools was over last week. Many students celebrated, especially those who received certificates, medals, and ribbons which recognized their hard work and efforts for this school year. Looking back on the years when I was still a student, I know how hard it was. Truly, staying sane while trying hard to get high grades is worth celebrating. That is why last Saturday we treat our youths to a beach outing as a celebration of their endeavors. Especially to our Type 1 Diabetic little warrior for making us proud to have With Honors again.
Please stay with me as I will share our happy moments on our Weekend Experience, "A Treat to Our Students for Their Endeavors". This kind of weekend experience is what I like.
The Budget Planning 😂
We were out of budget this month since I had a project I need to finish that cost me my little savings 😁 I had for three months. As Daddy talked about treating our youths I was excited yet it let me think about where to get all the expenses for multicab gasoline, entrance fee, cottage fee, and food of course. In addition to that I have not yet paid my load credit amounted to nine thousand pesos which I had kept the money in my wallet for payment. Opss, I have money in my wallet. Lol, I decided to use the money which I set aside for the payment just to make our celebration happen.
So off to the Sea Turtle Lagoon, together with our youths and our family, we went. With three motorcycles and a multicab, we rode for almost 45 minutes from our home.
Excitement Felt
We could see the happy faces of our youths as we arrived at the resort. I'd always wanted this kind of happenings but sadly time and budget did not sync to our desires many times 😂. But so glad we pushed it through this time.
We paid our entrance fee and proceeded to choose our cottage. We opted for the cottage with one thousand pesos and there put all our things. It was to our advantage that only a few people were there for the caretaker allowed us to use any vacant cottage 😁. Because of excitement, the youths were so active in carrying all the stuff we brought and immediately went to the sea to enjoy their moment.
Preparing Lunch
I and some of the youths were left to cook the egg rolls. I prepared at home 1 kilo of ground pork and there in the next cottage that we used for free. We wrapped and cooked it there so it would still be crunchy when we ate it. We brought a Butane stove so it's easy to cook even away from home.
There was also the team "sugba" with Daddy who made the grillings of 2 kilos of pork belly and 4 kilos of sardines fish.
Swimming and Diving Session
While we were still preparing for lunch, the youths were enjoying so much in swimming and diving in the big waves of the sea. I didn't know if there was a tropical depression but the waves were a bit wild on that day.
Other Than Swimming
The children were busy also eating ice cream and playing with tap water since it was dangerous for them to go down to the sea.
Those who did not go down to the sea yet had a sight-seeing of the sea turtle and of those swimming like a turtle 🤣.
Lunch Time
The lunch was ready. These were the foods we had. Thankful to some of the youths who brought additional food to enjoy.
Before we ate, Daddy and I congratulated everyone for the success they had in their studies. More than ten of them got an academic award. That is why we had this celebration. We encouraged them to continue what they had started though sometimes it may seem too hard. Soon they will reap the fruits of their hard work. And for those who don't have an award still finishing the school year was a success.
Time for Games
Thirty minutes after lunch, we let them play games that made the day more fun. Daddy once again felt he was a teenager playing with them.
After hours of playing games, they continued their swimming and diving session 😅. It was so enticing to jump into the water watching how they enjoyed it despite the big waves.
And for me who doesn't know how to swim, I made myself a tour of the very big, beautiful place the resort has which I think I will write on another post.
Time to Go Home
How fast time was. We still like to stay and enjoy ourselves more, but it was already 4:30 pm and we need to travel to go home.
But still, we spent the whole day full of enjoyment, fellowship, and happy memories. A one-of-a-kind celebration we had indeed.

Yes @indayclara the place is so nice. It would be great if we could have one our next meet ups here. The entrance fee is only 150 pesos. It is in Tabogon proper.
We were able to see two of the sea turtles. The caretaker told us there will be more coming out during night and early morning.
A happy family. Seeing the kids were too much enjoyed in the outing. Contentment and enjoyment can be seen through their smiles.
