Weekends are considered the best days of the week, especially for those who are working every single day because it is family time. It is the time to do chores, planned activities, and also time for family bonding. Once again, I am here to share with you my activities and experiences this weekend, so please be with me as we delve into one of my best places to go during the weekend especially when there is enough budget to buy the needs at home.
To A Market We Go
Since This coming week is a holiday, I planned everything for our family activities. Such as, election voting, going to the LTO office to update my motorcycle plate, family bonding, and a family market day. I have savings in my Gcash that I withdrew from PeakD, (thanks to the HIVE for this opportunity to earn, and also to the supportive fellow Hivers) which is my backup for groceries. So Saturday afternoon, after our chores, we decided to visit the "Bagsakan", a market in our city that offers items at a very low price.
Bagsakan Market
"Bagsakan" is the term used by the Cebuano to describe the place where goods or items direct from the supplier or from the farmers are being sold, that's why they are at very low prices. The first area We went through was the dried fish area. Here we buy some dried fish that hits our taste.
We chose to buy dried galunggong fish which is 260/kilo. We only bought 1/2 kilo. We also buy "Pinikas" which is 180 per kilo.
We spent there 220 pesos on the dried fish, then we continued to the vegetable area. The vegetables being sold here are fresh from the farm. Since there are only a few vegetables in my vegetable garden at home, I bought some here. I bought 1/2 kilo of squash which is 40 pesos per kilo, 1/2 kilo of luffa gourd which is 50 pesos per kilo, 1 kill of bitter gourd which is 80 pesos per kilo, 1/4 kill of spinach which is 40 pesos per kilo, 1/2 kilo of Pechay which is 40 pesos per kilo, 1/2 kilo of eggplant which is 50 pesos per kilo.
After the vegetable area, we directly went to the fruit area. Here we bought some mangoes and bananas.
We spent around 700 pesos or around 13 dollars in the Bagsakan Market, and these are the goods we bought there.
Prince Warehouse We Go
After buying Goods in the Bagsakan Market, we decided to stop over at the Prince WareHouse Bogo, We decided to buy some stuff or groceries such as Noodles, toothpaste, canned goods, and other ingredients to make ice cream.
My daughter enjoys too much inside the Prince Warehouse as we are busy selecting goods there. I am the one who was carrying the basket. After buying some stuff, we directly went home. These are the goods that we bought in the Prince Warehouse, it costs around 800 pesos or 15 dollars.
Budgeting Money for our daily needs is not easy. We need to be wise enough to choose quality goods that suffice for our daily needs, which are healthy yet at low prices. It is also considered a quality time having time with the family strolling around a supermarket.

Market day is also my favorite activity, sir. I used to go with my grandparents to the market or grocery, and they would let me choose what I wanted. That made me really happy back then, and soon doing the grocery became my favorite, especially when I'm with my grandparents. Thank you for sharing sir @mrexperienciado.

Yeah, it is called "Tabo" or "Tyangge".
Thank you for dropping by @pinkchic
Nice, Weekend talaga is the best day to do this coz you can see lots of fresh veggies and fruits in the market, we have tiangge-an naman here samin. Bukod sa you can get them fresh, you can also buy thrm in cheap prices which is good para sa mga tight and budget like us. That's a good finds po sa inyong market.
Yeah po. Totoo po yan. Tsaka nakaka aliw kaya lalo na yung mayrong tawaran sa presyo between you and the tindera.
Market day is a happy day but to others it is a stress day especially to those don't have money to buy goods like me😅
Going to the market makes us happy.
Wow!It's been a long time I never visit Bagsakan.Fruits and vetables there are cheaper than in the market.I appreciate you Sir @mrexperienciado for being so responsible father and husband❤️
This market sounds super fun and tasty!! I love the pictures!! It’s great that the vegetables are fresh from the farm!
I love market day too, sir. Craving dried fish (buwad) now huhu.
I like markets too, merely for the athmosphere... But it surprises me that markets over there are not cheaper... 13 dollars for the fruits and vegetables you've bought there doesn't seem very cheap to me?... !HUG

(1/3)Dear @mrexperienciado, you just got hugged. on behalf of @svanbo.
Yeah. It's the reality in markets here in the Philippines.
I mean without knowing how much an average visitor of that market would earn, I assume that a quite big percentage of the earnings will go to fruits and vegetables already?... !HUG
