When someone brings a bottle as a gift for an occasion, I put their name on it and the next time they are here, we can enjoy it together. All the bottles have a name on it now, so there is nothing left that is drinkable for a Friday night after everyone else has gone to bed
Oh! don't worry mate. Just choose the bottle of wine you like the most whose friends who gave it to you have the worst memory of all. And when they visit you again, just lie to them like a drunken sailor who wants to conquer the pretty girl in the bar, trying to convince them that you both had already inaugurated that bottle of wine together on a previous visit. And then, enjoy your sybarite weekend now without remorse. };)
I think I will head to the bottle shop tomorrow and get something for the evening.
Alcohol is expensive in Finland, but for most it isn't considered a luxury, more a necessity.
