I agree with you - it's liberating! And there's a guy and his wife in town about to open a community shed we'll all use for this alternative community currency, only problem is he's an ideas man, and doesn't always have the practicality to put it in action. Hopefully many hands will take on different aspects of what needs to bring this into reality!

Yeah, it sounds you and your community are pretty advanced in this regard! Props to you! I'm sure other will have something to learn from you. And the problem seems more like a blessing in disguise. It offers the wonderful need for someone who organize his ideas according to practical feasibility, cost-service ratio, and time to implement them. Then comes the challenge of putting them into practice. It doesn't matter if some things don't work right away. If there is a need, it will be met eventually.
Definitely! And it takes all types to execute a good plan. I'm so thankful they are around. Also, the fact they are hippies with what I think is a trust fund or something like it, helps!
