Asians love their rice and what you see above was the Filipino method of cooking rice without the need of rice cooker and any measuring devices. Just use your middle finger, and make sure that line with your thumb in order to make the perfect rice. Though I'm not sure how its done with other countries, I'm sure that many Asians with back me up with this life hack but you see, wherever you close the rest of your fingers while keeping your middle finger up, its show a gesture that people use to swear which is the topic that I want to discuss.
Swearing is the use of rude or offensive language and compared to English speaking countries, dual speaking countries like our have a wider vocabulary of swearing words that we can use and I myself have used a good amount of those over my entire life so I would not say that I am against the use of swearing. After all, everyone has the right to freedom and that includes the ability to speak the words they want to speak. I believe though that there were times and situations for it as well as the need to think for the consequences of using such words.
Not in Front of Children
Children learns fast and the things that they learn as a child could stick to them until they grow up so I believed that as much as possible people should refrain from using swears in front of children. When exposed, chances are children will imitate it without knowing that its bad and as they grow up, it would be something that was imprinted to them. As an adult we should avoid this from happening and at least guide them until they have old enough to understand the consequences of using such words so that even when they grow up, its not that they use swear as off hobby but as off choice. Thankfully, I grew up on a rural area with very few populations. Fights were very rare so I was not exposed to swearing so when I used swears, it was not because it was programmed in me but because of choice.
When its not directed to other People
Not all the time, we use swears towards other people, there are times that we swears towards a particular situation. For example when a friend suddenly passed away and due to the shock you say profanity words not to that friend but on the news. Another example that probably happens to everyone was when they accidentally drop a heavy object on their feet or just bump it on a sturdy object like table stands and as a result, experience pain so we either direct that swear towards our clumsiness but most of the times towards the object because they have the guts to be on that place (yeah, that's an excuse to say its not our fault even if it is). Even if people hear you say profanity on this situations, no one will be offended because it was not directed at them so it was fine to use them on this situations.
Altercations and Debates
At some point, people will be involved in some sort of dispute or altercation either to the people close to them or strangers that so happens to be at the same place where they are and things could really escalate to a complete chaos where people would brawl and worst use firearms but if using profanity is enough so that people could release their emotions, it will be way better than a lifeless body on the street. It's a different matter though if it was used in debates as this was a place where people fight for their opinions and using swears to attack your opponent only means that do not have a good argument to offer to the table.
Those are some of the situations that I could think of where the use of swear words should be avoided and tolerated and I know that there were more. As I said, everyone has the freedom to use them to express what they feel but at the same time, should consider what are the consequences of those actions and ultimately be responsible enough to own them.
And that was it for this post. See you at the next one.

Yea this are true we should not use it in front of kids
It can have a negative impact on kids
yah.. so as much as possible, we should set a proper example for them and when the time that they were exposed on it should guide them properly.
Thanks for reading.
Yea that's true I followed you can I get the same favour?
Swearing without truth is trash for me. Person who often swears lost his respect. At some aspects, you are right we should swear. You have used very clear words about swearing.
Not only that they lose respect if they swears a lot of times, people would also think of them as barbaric or violent because of the way they choose to speak.
I've made a lot of rice...and when it doesn't turn out right...I swear. Lol.
Noooo... I swear if someone on the house messes up or burned cooking rice, they will be the one that will eat the bad parts as we have a strict rule of not leaving any left overs so I always took the job seriously during my turn. 😂
Yep, if you've got strict rules in place, it's best you follow them too or others will enforce those rules upon you! 🤪
Mom enforces the rules and will be on beast mode if we try to disobey it so better not wake the sleeping beast.
Haha! This made me laugh...because I'm familiar with mom-beast-mode!
I guess, that goes for every mom no matter where you live..
Sometimes people swear even when they are lying. Children must learn if their parents or family members always say, I swear to whatever they want.
Swearing isn’t something I do much because personally, I don’t think it’s good. I try my best to avoid swear words especially in public. Kids learn very fast and they learn from what they see or hear so it’s advisable those around kids always do the right thing and use good choice of words.
I think its better for someone if they do not swear it as much as they can
That’s very true. It says a lot about you.
