My warmest greetings to everyone. How are you? Hope everybody is doing great and well.

Sharing with you today my great journey and unforgettable experience.

Accompanying my hubby made me realize how he sacrifice. I discovered and witnessed how difficult it was to take care of our animals on the farm.

Let our cattle feed and drink water daily was his daily routine. Fresh and green weeds from the farm will be cut and used to feed the cattle.

It was a beautiful sunny day then I decided to go with him to let the cattle drink water.

Walking there for almost 1 kilometer from my parents-in-law's house was already a great sacrifice. Many sugarcane plants along the way might hit you, especially your face.

The proper attire when going there should be a long jacket with a hood and long pants. Always bring water with you.

Since it was not a plan in going there, I only wore a T-shirt, shorts, and slippers. Then I voluntarily brought the pale with cattle feeds inside.

What is in there?

A wide farm that was not anymore planted with sugarcane. The vacant farm used to be the pasture area for the farmers. Cattle, goats, and carabaos were the animals I've seen there.

Along the way, there was this plant called Makahiya meaning in English term Ashame or shy. Its leaves beautifully bloom but when touching it, it closes its leaves and feels like he's shy😊.

There was a set of containers that my hubby left there and it was full of water. He used to stock water for the next day around.

He started to prepare the mixture. The water was mixed with 1 cup of cattle feed and then he mixed it thoroughly.

One mixture of every cattle and they were really thirsty coz I don't even notice that the container was empty already.

We let all of them drink the water prepared but we noticed that they were still in thirst. Cattle were still looking for another water and so we decided to fetch water.

Where is the Water?

I wonder where to get the water from the middle of the farm. I discovered that we need to walk 300 meters to reach the deep well. This time no sugarcane along the way, only the weeds, plants, and animals around.

In the middle of our walk, I observed this mudhole was dry and the land started to crack.

The Deep Well

We reached the deep well and I immediately take a look at how deep it is. I estimated around 3 meters to reach the water. I was amazed that the water could be clearly seen outside.

Began to fetch water and filled the brought containers. It was easy to fill all of those and the hardest thing was my hubby will carry them one by one and walk 300 meters back and forth.

What did I discover?

I turned around and observe the environment near the deep well. It was concrete, cemented, and cleaned. I discovered that the deep well was built a long time ago and I was amazed that until now it is still functional and the farmers still enjoyed it.

This was the water source of the neighboring people and they sacrifice to fetch water even if it has quite distance.

There were goats near the well under the shade of the trees. These were owned by one of the farmers.

I also saw these beautiful green leafy plants near the well. Looks like they were recognizing the good things that the environment brings. They look happy😊.

As I moved my eyes again. I saw these two carabaos who were enjoying themselves under the heat of the sun.

They swamp in a mudhole where the source is the wastewater from the well that will immediately lead the way of the water to the hole.

Self-Realization

The things that I discovered made me realize and appreciate more the hard work and sacrifice of the farmers and I salute as well to my hubby's perseverance and dedication.

That's all for today my friends. Hope this inspired you to appreciate things around you. Happy Weekend and God bless.

While reading your blog maam @simplechalyns, my experienced in my lolo’s farm flashed back during my childhood years with my cousins.☺️Truly a big salute to all the farmers out there🫡

I love going to a farm :) Everything is so simple, and there is a sense of tranquility everywhere. ;)

It's really a hard working task to take care of animals at the farm.

Blessed are the farmers who work hard to make a good living! Kanindot Kay na ray tabay nga mkaprovide ug tubig!

Sanaol naay farm.🥰 Hats off to all farmers!
