Before getting into Isolation - Weekend trip to Varanasi.

End of March, means beginning of new financial years, new school academics and a beginning of new life. After some hiatus previous year, our family decided to take a short break and we as a close bubble went to visit Varanasi in the first weekend.

Varanasi is hindu religious place, which is considered to to be pios and sacred. Situated in the banks of river Ganaga, the temple of Shiva is the main attraction. So basically we went there to worship and offer prayers to Baba Viswanath.

The most enjoyable time was the evening, when prayers were offered to Goddess Ganga.

The main attraction used to be I the evening prsyers when thousands of lamps were lit to worship goddess Ganga. And getting a illuminated view of lights from the middle of river simply make the atmosphere very blissful.

Special arrangement were made at banks to take visitors for a short ride to Ganga water, so that they can enjoy the evening pryyers. Sitting on boat and watching the illuminated banks, the moment is simply unforgettable, as it truly mesmirisies you, the lights, the chants, the soundd thongs, everything is simply mind blowing. Sitting on top of a boat, we were enjoying the evening.

After sepnding an hours on boat and enjoying the blissful prayers, it's time to go back to the hotel. It was a long walk, which allow us to do some street shopping. Varanasi is a busy place and you will find lot of flea markets and street food. Luckily our bank to hotel took us through the busy street.

There is nothing to buy much, so we start to hover along the street food. In middle we went through the famous Chaat Papdi shop. Not in mood to eat in this pandemic, we give it a skip.

It was getting late, so to our next eating point, we found a crispy dose. A South Indian recipe. Looking it freshly cooked, we instantly decided to give it a go.

After a good meal, we went to the milk shop. Luke warm milk is very famous of varanasi. Served in earthen pot, it was mildly warm and sweet good for taste.

The next day, after morning prayers at the temple, we went again to the bank, as we have to return the same day, we just enjoyed the flowing Ganga water and then take a walk.

On way, back we stopped at the Chaat shop and enjoy the snacks. The place is true to its authentic taste. I never had enjoyed the taste anywhere else.

After enjoying the snacks we pack our bags to return home. It was a short trip down the varanasi lane, but good enough to refresh everyone mood. Enough to get from homesickness.

Soon after coming from slowly, one by one my family members started the covid 19 symptoms....and finally me too fall prey to the pandemic. Still in Isolation, these photographs are just means to stay happy.

Peace
