It is getting warmer already and not expected to reach the extremes of last week, where it was -27. Tonight though, it rained this weird "frozen water" thing, where it is kind of wet, but froze immediately to encase the car in a layer of hardened ice... Not looking forward to tomorrow morning.

Yeah we have had a couple of freezing rain events, at least we did not have as many super cold days this year as we have in the past, and I am looking forward to a possible early spring.
It was a nightmare this morning with the windows. Broke a scraper. No heated mirrors in the rental means that they are still frozen, as I just couldn't scrape anything off.
On our Sunday runaround it wasn't to bad at all, minus 6 to minus 4 Celsius for us, low to mid 20's F. Not cold feeling at all, no moisture and no wind, and a little bit of sunshine Sunday.
You need to car insurance shop, we have a like style policy, mid sized car, you get a mid sized car, truck, you get a truck, etc. At least you will be getting yours back soon.
