In SA, one of the radio stations used to put on a display each year timed to music. It went for about half an hour and was pretty cool - even for someone who didn't like fireworks at the time :)
I never had a chance to see them in the south. Another "one day"!
Definitely a bucket list. These days they have good monitoring and alerts. The past year has been a great year for them - and biophosperence! One guy captured both at the same time - I reckon that trumps fireworks hands down.
They've kinda stopped them here. Expensive and people are complaining about both expense and environmental cost. People who don't care about either thing are pretty mad about it.
