RE: WEEKEND EXPERIENCE 284 ~ Raised in Polygamy, Rooted in Monogamy

in Weekend Experiences18 days ago

It is always when the man dies that things blow out of proportion which makes me wonder why men that chose polygamy don’t think to make wills before they kick the freaking bucket. I don’t think I am emotionally stable enough to have in a polygamous relationship. I will walk out with my dignity because to me, polygamy brings about embarrassment.

Thar aside, I’m glad your mom did all she could for you guys, she deserves fresh roses.

Honestly, you’re speaking facts. Everything really shows itself when the man is no longer around, and it’s sad because a simple will would save so much drama. Polygamy looks fine from the outside, but living inside it is another story entirely. The emotional stress alone is enough.

I completely understand your point, protecting your peace and dignity will always be the best decision. Not everyone is built for that kind of pressure, and there’s nothing wrong with choosing a more stable, healthier path.
Thank you so much for your engagement.
