[WE107] Weekend commitment concept.

Would you rather work in a job you absolutely hate but that pays you well or work in a job you love and find inspiring but the pay is low and you have to strictly budget your financial affairs? Explain your answer

.Hello dear friends of this wonderful community, here is my participation in this wonderful initiative of its founder @galenkp.

After reading the 4 alternatives, I identified myself more for the first one.

I consider that work is something sacred, it is a family that you adopt for many years, parallel to our family, I explain: At work we spend most of the day, where we have to coexist, relate, exchange ideas and opinions, etc. with different types of people and personalities (it is not easy), however, to the extent that we do everything from love, to the same extent things flow satisfactorily.

Particularly, I prefer to work a thousand times in something I like and am passionate about, even if the salary is not the best, when we work in what we like, everything becomes more beautiful and pleasant, the hours pass quickly and you wait for the sun to rise to leave with the best disposition to that daily encounter with the environment and the job you chose.

I tell you my particular case; I am a Psychopedagogue by profession (specialist teacher). Since I was very young when I was asked what I wanted to be when I grew up, I always answered "Teacher", my parents told me that teachers did not have a decent salary and with that profession I was not going to meet my economic expectations, that I should think about another profession and they began to list them, I listened to them and I thought about it a lot while I finished my high school.

I did an internship in a rural school (school far away from the city) usually these schools are attended by children who live in villages (peasants) and with very low economic resources.

The time I spent with these children motivated me to study and prepare myself to help them and form them with "VALUES" and in the future they will be healthy, independent and good men for this society.

In the group there was a child whose personal appearance was not the most pleasant, he was always dirty, with bad hair and did not obey orders, he was easily distracted so it was difficult for him to assimilate the activities performed in the classroom no matter how simple they were, for example, vowels, primary colors, geometric shapes, among others.

I realized that he was different from the rest of the students, I told the school principal and he called his representative.

I interviewed Yorman's mother (I never forgot her name) to talk to me about her son and all she kept saying was "That boy is a brute" he never learns anything, I wish he was like his sister.
In that interview I could not really find out much about that child, the social and academic level of that mother was very low, however I was not calm and with the permission of my Director I could talk to a psychologist who was recommended to me, he evaluated that child and it turns out that his diagnosis was "MODERATE MENTAL RETARDATION". He was sent to a special school with few students and trained staff.

I finished my internship in that rural school, I did not know more about that child but I felt very good to be able to help him.

With this beautiful experience, I no longer wanted to study to be a teacher, I studied Psychopedagogy, (against my parents, who did not agree with me) to help this vulnerable population and prepare them for life, to teach them to be happy despite the difficulties they may have on the way.

I graduated, then went to graduate school for further training and worked happily for 28 years with these adorable children!!!.

You may wonder, what about the salary? My parents were right, it was not the best but I learned to organize my expenses and save every month; with that salary I raised my two daughters, I bought an apartment (with mortgage loans), I bought a good used car, and now I consider myself a happy woman having given the best of me and with a job that I have always been passionate.

Dear friends, when you work in something you like and are passionate about, you do it in the best way and everything flows satisfactorily.

Working in something just for a good salary but you do not like it is the worst thing we can do, it generates stress and therefore diseases arise that you can not imagine, it is irremediable.

I know many people with a great salary, who are in a bad mood because they have different health commitments and most of that money they have to spend it on In medical consultations, therapies to specialists and medicines (How bad is it?)
.
Well, the ideal would be to work in something that we like and are passionate about, and with a good salary... hahahahaha.

My salary was always enough for me, I did not have to spend it on doctors or medicines, I did my job happily, in a good mood, smiling and without stress, I was a healthy woman, thanks to God!

Now I am very pleased to share my personal experience with you, as well as to participate in this great initiative. A big hug to all of you.

work on what you like and you will live happy and grateful for the things that come into your life. Working with children is extremely beautiful but also exhausting.

That's right Daima, it's important to work and be happy at the same time, and working with children is something I've always been passionate about, I love them!!!😃💕❤️

Hi @emiliorios , that's the important thing is to feel comfortable in our work environment, The sacrifice in valid on many occasions, generating a lot of money is rewarding and helps a lot of things, but you have to consider the consequences.🙌 Why is it worth generating a lot of money if it will generate a lot of stress and therefore diseases? Is it worth it...that extra money having to use it to pay doctors, therapies and medicines!!!!! I would think about it. 🙈.. Thanks for your comment my friend, have a great night.👐✨
