Hello to all the lovers of this community.
We are just a few days away from the end of 2025, and with this last initiative of the year, I would like to send my congratulations to everyone and my best wishes for an excellent 2026.
Among the topics proposed by @galenkp this time, there is one that brings back pleasant memories, which is why I have chosen it to participate.

The creator of the initiative asks whether New Year's Eve is just another day or a day of celebration.
For me, it is a day when I have fun and celebrate as much as I can. Several reasons motivate me. Among others, I would like to mention the following:
· It is a very special family moment because we gather to celebrate the culmination of one year and welcome the next. It is also a time of remembrance and tribute to our parents, as they conceived this day as a space for family celebration.

· It is a day of unique traditions and customs. For example, an old doll symbolizing the year about to end is burned, a little water is thrown into the street to clean the path for the new year, or good things are wished for the family, humanity, and oneself. It's not that these things happen just because we wish for them, but it's a tradition of good vibes.
· On this day, we close a cycle and evaluate the year we are ending, we set new goals, and we toast to what was achieved in the year about to finish, or simply to the joy of being alive.
· It is a day of partying, joy, enjoyment, and disconnection from work. On this date, we have a tradition of dining on roasted pork, vegetable salad, congrí (rice and beans), yuca, and a dessert that varies by region and what we have available. All of this is accompanied by music and some beers, wines, or rums, depending on taste.
But, in my case, I have another very special reason: the next day is my birthday, and on New Year's Eve, I begin the celebration of my life anniversary, so I bid farewell to the old year and welcome the New Year with a party and joy.

A Final Comment
New Year's Eve is much more than just any day; around here, it is a social tradition full of symbolism that harmonizes personal reflection with collective celebration, renewing our hopes and strengthening our family bonds.
It is beautiful to see how our hopes merge in an embrace, saying goodbye to one year and welcoming another.
