A few words about electrical and fire safety.

Bzzzz!

Electrical appliances can often be the cause of a fire!
I remember my grandmother never left the house without checking that all electrical appliances were turned off. As a child, I was surprised by this behavior, because what could happen?

And it turned out to be this:

Yesterday there was a sudden loss of electricity in our house and there was a smell of burnt wiring. I immediately jumped up and began to look for the source of the smell. Surely this was the reason the safety switch tripped.

I quickly realized that the source of the smell was in the kitchen. The strongest source of smoke was also there.

We still didn’t remember which of us put the empty, switched-on kettle on the stand, and why the critical thermo fuses didn’t work, but the pictures show the result...

It’s good that we were inside the room and noticed it in time. When I approached the table, the smoldering was still going on, and since it all happened on a wooden table, the consequences could be quite sad. However, everything turned out well and there were no serious consequences.

Let my post become a clear warning to everyone about the possible dangers of household appliances that are so familiar to everyone!

From a pile of charred plastic, I beat out a few drops of aluminum that used to be the shell of the heating element. It's funny that the drops look like a smiley face. I hope to someday process them and make a piece of jewelry for my beloved woman as a memory of this happy accident.

It's worth remembering that:

Many devices, especially those that are turned off from a remote control, always remain powered by voltage from the network and are waiting for the switch on command. Despite the many modern degrees of protection for electronic boards, there is always a risk of force majeure circumstances in which failure can cause a fire and large financial expenses.

If you do not have sufficient qualifications and the necessary knowledge, then you should not repair electrical equipment yourself. Interfering with a professional in the operation of electrical appliances can lead to dire consequences and risk to life.

Take care of yourself and your family, trust repairs to professionals!
