Getting to know the Venezuela's Medanos

Hello beautiful people of Hive, I am very happy to be with you again to share a new weekend story. This time he needed to go to Falcon, one of the most beautiful states that Venezuela has, thanks to its beautiful beaches and its different scenarios to visit.

The trip lasted about 7 or 8 hours on the road, that photo that you see there was already arriving at our destination Punto Fijo, which was where we were going to stay with some cousins, but amazing things happened on the way that are worth telling.

We go from the morning, we woke up very early on Friday, we got dressed and we left since Thursday night we had left everything arranged. On the road, the breeze was something amazing that completely ruffled your hair hahaha it was quite funny.

Our first stop was in a small town to have breakfast and go to the bathroom, from there we continued our journey to Falcon. The first thing we saw were the Medanos, giant sand mountains, I had already been there as a child but this time I lived the experience again.

Los Medanos were full of tourists and people taking pictures, the heat and the wind were crazy hahaha you were disheveled all the time, it was really impossible to comb your hair.

We didn't walk much there because we were just passing through, we took several photos and walked a bit through the sand, it was quite fun because our shoes were full of sand until we said enough, but afterwards it was quite uncomfortable because the sand stuck to your skin and it was like you're dirty lol.

I want to show you several photos that we took there

After getting off at Los Medanos and ending up with sand everywhere, the longest road of all began, which is the one in the photo at the beginning (I put them here again) God, that road was the longest of all and maddening because there is nowhere to stop, it is only one way to Punto Fijo

When we finally got to Punto Fijo, we went to an aunt's house, there we had a few beers and had a delicious lunch, later we decided to go find a place to sleep, one block from the aunt's house we found a very nice inn called Paradise, it was very cheap and everything was clean, so we decided to stay there. Take a look at the inn, it was small but it was fine for a weekend.

After taking our bags down and arranging everything in the rooms, we decided to take a bath to go out to see the town of Punto Fijo, we found many offers since Punto Fijo is a free port, so everything is much cheaper than in the capital.

Among our great offers we found a 40-piece pizza for $20, also 10 empanadas for $5, beers were $1 and a case of 24 beers for $15, everything was really cheap.

Our pizza was made with cheese, red sauce and anchovies. The truth was that those anchovies were not tasty because they were like sardines. Look the giant pizza.

After the pizza we went to have beers at a place on the shore of the beach, it was already night and the fishermen were looking for bait at that time, I managed to take pictures of a man who was in his boat

At about 3 am we went to sleep since the next day we had many things to do.

On Saturday morning we had breakfast of those empanadas that I told you were 10 for $5, they were really good and after that we had to add gasoline, which took a long time since in Venezuela gasoline is a very complicated issue that has not changed in several years but this was not an impediment to our walk.

It has a very nice lighthouse on the shore of the beach, we took pictures there too

Here you can see its pretty streets and the beach that had a lot of people

We took a bath on the beach, the water was super calm and hot, which is very rare on these dates that are usually colder.

After swimming for a while we got in the car and continued driving to Las Salinas, it is a place where sea salt accumulates on the shore and there you can grab it in grains, there are mountains of salt there and they say that seasonally that part can turn pink

Look Las Salinas, It is a fairly large space, and there are several small mountains of salt, from there you cannot take the salt, nor from Los Medanos the sand, since for being natural heritage you can be fined.

There was also a beautiful rainbow, see also the large grains of salt. I had to try it and if it is salt friends, confirmed hahaha

After that beautiful walk we went to Cabo San Roman, from there you can see Aruba very small since Cabo San Roman is the tip of the state, it is the last piece of land in Falcon and it is really beautiful, there is also a lighthouse there and we were able to take pictures

While there in the Cape, my boyfriend saw some mountains of sand and decided to put the truck there to see if it would go up and play for a while since the truck is rustic and can survive that kind of thing, although the idea was not excellent because the truck got stuck there hahaha he had to go back and then gain momentum and be able to raise it, here is a photo of how the truck had stayed

1673280445980.jpg

We just had to see the sunset there and really, what a beautiful view and what a beautiful gift from heaven to thank for so much nature and beautiful things, it is very real when they say that beautiful things are the simplest.

Just admire this delicious sunset

This photo came after pulling the truck out of the sand hahaha

That space in Cabo San Roman is so big that people sometimes meet there and drink beers, put on music and have a night out because there really isn't any kind of danger but something that seems very sad to me is that they pollute so much, they leave the space full of garbage and beer cans, it seems to me that people should be a little more aware of these things since they are totally natural spaces so nobody is going to clean them and it is our responsibility to keep them clean, apart from generating a great degree of contamination for our planet, so friends keep your garbage in your car, have a bag and put everything there and then leave it in another place where it does not pollute the environment.

Already on Sunday, we stopped early, ate empanadas again hahaha, we said goodbye to the family and started the journey again to Caracas, where we arrived at 8pm ready to go to sleep and on Monday start the routine again ..
