RE: Six and Counting

Having a good time with the kids are ever lasting. I have a 5 month old daughter and as soon as she looks at me she gives me a smile in the morning and that gives all the energy I need that day.

I also have a 9 year old son, and it reminds me every day that time goes so fast. I swear I remember him when he was a baby and needed to change diapers but now he appears to be a mini me. Make the best out of the time we have to our loved ones~

Love the photos~ Her emotions can be felt through my screen. :) Awesome dad~

Funny what a difference small things can make. Also, it sometimes works in the opposite direction ;D

Ah, she is going to have a very protective older brother!

Does this ever worry you?

Yea your right~~ it can for sure work in a totally opposite direction. LOLZ
Parenting is such a skill that one can only improve on but never master.... and I realize I have a long wayyy to go.
I become a friend when at play and I myself become like a child back again... and then there are times where I need to wear the "father" mask. :)

A mini me.....

You know... there are some moments where my son and even my daughter (even though she is only a baby) express such emotions in a way I actually get surprised and makes me just speechless for a moment. Its the times where I never taught but maybe through genes? can inherit personality traits? of myself in certain situations.

Of course there are ones that I do like... but also there are equally as many where I wish I can improve upon. When I see the (ones that I dont like) traits that copies mine from my son or daughter, I look at my wife... and she dont say.. but I can hear... "thats gotta be from you." Hahahahaha!
and then I silently but surely become concerned.... OK... What to do... What to do.

Does it worry me? Sometimes... and at the same time... I believe its my second chance to get it right. :)
So I call my mom... and ask... "ummmm when I did this... what did you do?" LOLZ!!! Oh man...

Every day with the kids... is a Cracker Jack Prize Taraxkp.
No right or wrong~~ Just trying to embrace and enjoy the moment~
Going with da flow~

I dislike these times, but they are necessary - there has to be a mix :)

I think so. My wife's nephew is "just like his dad" in many behavioral ways, who passed away when he was just a baby. Has to come from somewhere.

I know that look!

This is the thing, isn't it? We aren't forced to have them make the same mistakes as us, we can be different ourselves. Learn from our own past to improve our weaknesses and show that it can be done.

She must love this!
"I told you so!"

Every word you have replied back I am wholesomely onboard with you 1000%, and I am relieved I am not the only one thinking like this. A lot of times I re-evaluate the actions and decisions I made for my son and think it through before bed if I did it the best possible way?

The crazy thing I realize is that we are never educated how proper parenting really is so most likely we mimic the experiences we had with our own mother and father. There really is no guide to it... so our logic and emotions have to make the best of what we have on hand. and I hope that we both will result in a loving, caring, happy daughters and sons that will march into the next generation jungle.

It was really refreshing discussing with you on this topic.
I can feel your love for your daughters celebration through your post and I just had to stop by and read through it. Hope to read more posts about how you experience the world through your eyes. :)

This is what worries me! :D

You too. It is nice when people can have some fun and take things seriously at the same time. Thank you.
