Hello, Splinterlands warriors! Welcome back to another one of my Splinterlands posts! This time, I want to share a fun little personal experience — checking on my card collection progress and, of course, the sacred ritual every player looks forward to: opening packs!
It’s been almost four years since I joined the world of Splinterlands, and honestly, every time I open a Gladius pack, it still feels like the very first time. But before we get there, let me talk a bit about my collection progress — especially my Gladiator cards.
I often ask myself, “How far along is my Gladiator collection, really?” To answer that, I use a pretty neat tool called the Reward & Gladius Soulbound Monitor.
From there, I can see that my Gladiator collection is only about 30% complete. Not too surprising, since I didn’t join a guild right away when I started playing. So, my Gladiator card gathering has been a bit behind.
Back then, Gladiator cards could only be used in Brawl mode. But now, with recent rule changes, these cards are slowly finding their way into ranked battles too — either through certain rulesets or the Archon effect that allows their use. This makes me even more excited to complete my Gladiator collection, especially since I’m still missing a few legendary cards.

Then came the moment I’d been waiting for: pack opening time! 🎁
After joining several Brawls and collecting around 8,800 merits, I finally had enough to buy four Gladius packs. It felt like being a kid again, getting extra pocket money and running straight to the card shop.
First pack? Boom! — I pulled Quora Towershead, one of the most beloved epic cards among players! It felt like finding a little treasure buried in the pile.
Second pack? Not bad, got a few rares.
Third pack — and the fourth one didn’t disappoint either, with some interesting cards, even if none were gold foils this time.
What made it even better was that two of my cards leveled up: Palidon Rakk and Captain Katie — both now at level 5. Even though no new abilities unlocked at that level, that extra 1 HP boost still makes a difference in battles. On the flip side, it was also a reminder that as my monsters level up, I need to level up my Archon too, to fully tap into their potential.

Thinking back, moments like these aren’t just about luck or what cards you get. There’s a bit of nostalgia and camaraderie, too. The Splinterlands community has always felt warm — even when it’s just people cheering you up after a “not-so-lucky” pack opening.
So, the takeaway from this little experience is simple but meaningful: don’t rush to complete your collection — enjoy every step of the journey. Sometimes, small surprises like pulling a Quora are what make it all more exciting and memorable.
A quick tip from me: if you’re just starting out or still building your Gladiator collection, join Brawls regularly and track your progress using tools like the Reward & Gladius Soulbound Monitor. Trust me, every pack you open isn’t just a bunch of cards — it’s a part of your adventure in the world of Splinterlands.
See you on the battlefield, warriors! 💪🔥
