Exploring some British Colonial Architecture | Travel To A Locomotive Workshop

in Worldmappinlast month (edited)

The arrival of the British in our area was a long time ago. Even after the end of British rule, some buildings of the British period still survive as a witness of the times. A huge railway workshop is located about 20 km from my house.

The name of the workshop is Saidpur Railway Workshop. This workshop has several installations of the British period. Not only are there British installations inside the workshop, but there are also installations outside the workshop.

First of all, there is a church to talk about. This church was built a long time ago. Most of the British were Christians. They built this church to facilitate their prayers. It is located near the Railway Workshop.

Then come to the words of the workshop. The workshop is spread over a large area and has many types of machinery inside. I will try to explore the machinery inside the workshop in another post.

The office of the Divisional Electrical Engineer appears to be a landmark of British architecture. Because our native architecture is very different from British architecture. Walking past these British architectures, I felt like I was transported back to the British period.

Although British architecture was built centuries ago, it still shines. Some structures are centuries old. So I was surprised to see these installations. I want to travel to more places in our country and explore such places.
