HELLO EVERYONE!

We went to Sirkeci train station, it was no longer a station but a museum and restaurant. First of all, I would like to give you some information about the station.

The railways started to be built after the Crimean War in January 1857, On 4 October 1883 The first Orient Express departed from the Gare de l'Est in Paris, the train was a project of Belgian businessman Georges Nagelmackers. The route passed through Strasbourg, Karlsruhe, Stuttgart, Ulm, and Munich in Germany, Vienna in Austria, Budapest in Hungary, Bucharest in Romania, Rousse and Varna in Bulgaria, ending in Sirkeci 3,094 KM

Expeditions continue until 2009 and then only travel to Greece. Until 2011, this is called the friendship route.

When we arrive at the entrance of the train station, which has a charming atmosphere, the restaurant welcomes us. The restaurant, which was established here in 1890 and is still in operation, has managed to preserve its historical structure until today. They serve people who come to visit this place, we stopped by twice that day, in the morning and in the evening. it wasn't very crowded in the morning but people came to visit there in the evening. It was a tourist area and the restaurant was full.

Actually, it's really big inside and there are so many places to visit, I'm just sharing a part of the outside view of the restaurant and the train station. I'm sure if you come to Istanbul, this will be one of the places you will stop by. If you are following my posts, I can say that I am making a list of places you can visit in Istanbul. There are people who come to Istanbul and see only the sea shores in a week, please don't be one of them and take the opportunity to see the beautiful historical places here :)

There is such a board inside, the first page of that day's newspaper, information about how the train was built, the sketch of the railways, the outer view of the train, and which roads it will take. In the newspaper news of that day, the arrival of the French ambassador to Istanbul, the news that the Italy-Moscow train route will extend to Turkey, I could not understand what the ORIENT EXPRESS paper with the Mercedes logo on the top was, it was written in Spanish and even in the newspaper article they wrote in Spanish. At the end of this article, I will share a link with you so that you can get more detailed information. You can learn all the details there :)

After wandering around inside and outside, we were a little hungry and we decided to eat, I don't usually like restaurants in places like museums, but this place was not bad, BUT if you are looking for great taste, this is not the place to come.

I really like this photo, it really contains history. As you can see, the train routes are still not closed and they are at the service of those who want to see them. you can even go and sit down like waiting for a train.

There is much more out there than I shared. We have finished our tour, if you are a history lover, you can enjoy walking around, sitting, eating and drinking coffee here.
