There are train stations that stand out for their beauty and historical or logistical significance. Some of them are inspiring and sometimes awaken the imagination to write stories, make films or compose music set in that space. But there are also train stations that are nothing special. I mean, they are just normal ones. Of course, they also serve a good purpose, which is to provide a travel service to all passengers who decide to use this mode of transport, on the rails.
One of those is the station in Linz (Austria), quite ordinary but excellent in its purpose. To bring some more vibes, there were two guardian lions in front of the entrance, a fountain with water and some statues. Water creatures, probably. And people could enjoy themselves on the lawn in front of the building while waiting for their train, I suppose. First, we printed out the tickets we had purchased online the previous day and then settled down on the benches in this small park.
As we still had some time, I went to buy a bottle of water and some snacks for the ride, and I found something we had when we were children last time - soft drinks packed in this way. I bought two, just because of memories about those times. I had the orange-flavoured one.
Here, in this green area in front of the train station building, my friend found out that I have some dark sides... oops!! I was tempting her with a chocolate croissant! Without mercy! Well, her reaction said everything, and since then, she has mentioned the discovery of this dark side of mine a few times. Mainly when I was joking and showing them on purpose again in the next few days. 😂
The chilling time passed quickly; we had to enter the station and search for our train. That is where we printed out our tickets before the chocolate croissant event happened. This time we just checked the number of the platform where we should find our train and passed through the station.
I forgot to take a photo of the train from the platform! 🤦♀ We entered, took a seat and then I didn't go out once again just for the sake of the photo. But this is how it looked inside.
I didn't press anything here - I promise. I can have my good sides too, and behave. 😁
The train ride lasted for three hours, actually a bit more, but it was so beautiful! Everything was so green, we passed by meadows, fields, houses, rivers, forests, mountains... This ride was a great intake of green colour into our eyes! I recorded a very short part of it, but imagine three hours of beautiful landscape. ;)
Here we arrived at Graz, the place where we met already that afternoon a few other Hivers!! 😃 Hurray, I remembered to take a photo of the wagon in which we spent this green time! 👏
Graz train station! No bomb alerts that day, hahaha, and from here we headed to our accommodation, which was a few minutes away.
If you have never visited Austria but decide to do that, I think you will not be disappointed if you take a train ride. 😊

I sat on the train to enjoy the view... I did that, imaginatively, while watching the video.... but I never saw those juices, so dark side eh? We all have a dark side!!!🤣

I remember when a gossipy neighborhood acquaintance told us to take a train ride to clear our heads and enjoy the scenery and I made a face like “what scenery, if we live in the filthiest neighborhood in Argentina? hahahahaha 😂 literally, the scenery is embarrassing, but if I had such a view, this is the train ride I need and the scenery I would like to see 😍 OMG!

Oh, they have a nice view even outside the station. I never ever tried riding in a Train but it looks fun, it'll be added as a fun experience if ever. But we don't have train in our small town 🫠🤣. Anyways the ride really would be enjoyable with all the greens you can see while it's moving. You can even sleep there no? Coz 3 hours ride is not short omg.
Yes, one can sleep as well, but I was using the time to write a post for Hive and also enjoy the views. As we had the little table between the seats, we could also eat or if we wished, play some board game haha

The green reminded us of our home country, it is also almost that green (but here in Austria much more, and with the mountains, it is unbeatable) ⛰
The train is my favourite mode of transport. I would love to do that route, the views of the mountain on that stretch you share are beautiful.
Mr Mipiano said I missed many great views, he was sitting in the opposite side and saw more (we had the little table in the middle) - I was travelling backwards haha, with my back heading toward the destination haha and also I was writing a post from the phone half of the ride 😂
I don't like travelling backwards at all, it's just right for me so I don't get dizzy. You'll have to repeat the journey to swap views. 😁
My wife was visiting Austria last summer, maybe for some is not such a big deal, but I was amazed most of the times she have these video tours while communicating. One of thsoe times was in a train, I don't remember which one though, anyway it was amazing. Trains here are the same museum pieces since many years ago. Hopefully we'll be visiting Austria together, and who knows? Maybe living there as well if german language allows us to.
What we liked the most was the green grass and forests everywhere, and the architecture and history in the cities. Fingers crossed you can visit it, or as you say, maybe live there as well ;)
Fingers crossed in deed. She showed me museums, parks, rivers, lakes, bridges...even churches, arquitecture there is amazing, delicious, detailed and so beautiful.

Oh, that's a long ride ,however there are interesting views outside that are really amazing. I didn't experienced to ride in a train since we don't have that kind of transportation in our place but maybe if one day I'll go to the other country I would be able to experience how it feels inside the train.
I hope you can try it one day. If the railway transportation is good, then it is indeed a pleasure to travel by train. ;)
