Tayo could not believe her eyes after knowing what it takes to save someone whereas the savior becomes the talk of the community. She became the savior of her land after so many people refused to do so. So many generations have tried but could not come up with a solution instead were all afraid of the uncertainty.
Rachael and his husband were finding it difficult to give birth to a should but love kept on reviving in them. Their love stories were just like Juliet and Romeo. No one would believe that they would stay up to this moment together just because of their childlessness. How would they be one parent was their aim. They have tried all means but in the end, left all to God. People out there as well as their parents have been on their necks to give them grandchildren, but the more they wait the greater their chances of getting a child.
It may be delayed but I'm sure it will come at the right time, Ado admits. Rachel also said to her husband as they have waited for so long. The rest would be left for God to take control of.
It's their 7th year of marriage, and Rachel began to see a spirit following her wherever she is going. It became so tense that she could not talk or relate it to anyone. She was so fearful and scared anytime no one was with her.
Her husband came back from work one fateful day, and Rachel tried to tell her husband about what she had been seeing but was unable to do so just because of the presence of the spirit around her. Sometimes, it disappears, and sometimes comes when people are with Rachel. It was fateful when the spirit spoke to Rachel and told Tayo she would be pregnant with a female child that is destined to save his people. This made Rachel get stocked and was enjoying the company of the spirit after telling her the spirit-filled word.
She told her husband after seven days as instructed by the spirit. He was so excited to hear this word from his wife.
Meanwhile, the Community has been suffering from a deep problem. A man who one of the kings has offended has been making the Community on the run. He has been dead for decades but yet wanted to seek revenge on the Community. His spirit has been wandering about in the community making all the members of the community in a state of jeopardy. Every man in the community who is from a royal background cannot lay their hands on anything good instead they are seen as a common vegetable.
After nine months they gave birth to Tayo. She was so lovely. Deep in her eyes speak of love. Immediately she was born, the spirit who has been tormenting the Community came by but was naive of her birth. Although, he was just sending danger ahead after seeing the eyes of the child. No one would see the spirit except for Tayo. Motley, the spirit who told Rachel about what her daughter would become, came by to embrace Tayo. He said, "now the savior is here". After saying the word, Tayo, being some days old, was smiling.
She is 7 years old but was a thing just like an adult. What his equals cannot do, she does. Everyone became so scared of her, but she acted so well and to the extent of Motley always being with her.
She was seven years and seven days old when she had an encounter with the devilish spirit who was not ready to leave the Community and instead wanted to put all the royal blood into a state of confusion. Tayo with inner eyes filled with lots of powers commanded the tormenting spirit to back down. She told the spirit to leave and never to return. She said to the spirit "take your anger away and allow the living to enjoy their reasons for being in this world. The spirit was proving so stubborn, but Tayo began to pour out words of incantation. She cast a spell on the spirit and suddenly it disappeared.
The disappearance of the spirit made the Community feel some brilliant relief. All the men who had been with the tormented spell became free.
The one who was supposed to be the king was visited by his ancestor who told him to make Tayo the priestess of the land. She was praised and honored and her family became the royal blood.
Luckily Tayo was able to rid the community of evil spirits and things normalised in the land. Thank you for sharing your story with us in The Ink Well.
