Tonight, the crickets chirp in sync with the rhythm of the night wind knocking on the windows. I don't know why it's so cold tonight. The clock shows 01:17 in the midnight and it seems like that time is different from usual nights. Maybe because tonight Angelica was sad. She stared at her reflection in the mirror which was half cracked from her own blow. Cursing the world and the destiny that binds her. In her left fist, the drops of blood and tears were racing each other to reach the surface. And some of the drops have filled the tiled floor on which she stands.
“Though I just want to be acknowledged, even a little! But why does he always get in my way!” Angelica's anger and disgust boiled over, even this was her highest boiling point at the age of 25.
12:03 AM Yesterday
The young girl staggered over the suspension bridge in the center of the city. Her sharp eyes pierced a building with a height of 14 floors. She was delirious several times, even swearing incoherently. From its position, the building was like the king of fireflies among ordinary fireflies flying in the night sky, because it was more shining and stood out from the crowd. Local food and beverage production company: M&N Foods and Beverages. That was where the source of Angelica's anger came from. She had only worked there for 2 years and 6 months but all she got was injustice from her superior.
“You Damn Boss!”
“Insolent fat man!”
“Thin mustache smells of ass!”
Angelica shouted annoyed. Even though she chided like that. Her words would not be heard by the person she was addressing because she was 1,3 km away from the company.
"Mr Josh! Why did you do that to me!”
While holding a piece of document that has been scribbled. Angelica has been sobbing ever since.
14:17 PM Yesterday Ago
That day Angelica was still happy and childish. Her dopamine hormone filled her feelings and body. She has been waiting for the moment when She will present the work program to her superiors and if successful, she will be promoted to a higher position. Angelica has prepared well and is confident that the program will be successful. But when the presentation session took place, what she got was beyond expectation. One of the bosses who joined was Mr. Josh. He is a fat man with a thin mustache in a gray shirt suit who is always critical of the bright ideas of other employees. It seemed as if he did not want to get his subordinates promoted to a higher position because he was worried that his position would be replaced.
And on this day, Angelica had that bad experience. That Big Boss said a project like this would take up a lot of budget beyond the available capital limit! inciting the editors to abolish even cut the question and answer segment of the chances of success of the project. As a result, Angelica's project was temporarily suspended, and many small things from the context of the project had to be improved. The girl's wait had been broken by that big man, and now Angelica had to start all over again.
01:17 AM Tonight
Angelica think She better to stop. Find a new job and avoid toxic people who always mess in her way. But that was the way of a coward, Angelica didn't see herself that way. She swore at the night sky, and the pain in her left fist that she had to be strong and endure. Convincing herself that this incident was only a small thorn in her path and in the future there would definitely be many other thorns that hindered her. How could Angelica keep going if a single thorn got in her way and she decided to give up?
She suddenly remembered her father's message. She lost him 2 years ago to blood cancer.
“Dear Angelica, you know what? Happiness always comes one after another with sadness, there is no such thing as true happiness, so when sadness and displeasure come to you, you have to be strong and endure. Say a prayer and please be sad on that day, but rest assured there is always a tomorrow that welcomes you"
She digested her father's words well. In the middle of the night, she prayed. Cleaning the blood that flows as well as the teardrops on her cheeks. In front of the half-cracked mirror, Angelica tried to form a smile. She was surprised that she looked beautiful when she smiled sincerely.
09:12 AM Tomorrow
Angelica went to the office. Greet all coworkers cheerfully. Although her eyes are still puffy and her nose is also runny. She still has to show the best performance. It was then that she realized, in order to get rid of this sadness, she had to forgive and let go what has pass
"Mr. Josh, forgive me if I always get in your way, this time let's join hands, let's build this company for the better!"
He smiled. His thin and silky mustache felt like it made Angelica burst out laughing.

Angelica goes through a very difficult experience, but in the process she learns some things and becomes a better person. Nice story, @adhyaksaardaus. Welcome to The Ink Well!
Not everyone succeeds in a company, there is always a kind of competition and those who don't manage to perform get stressed. Angelica's case manages to stand out, but her boss sees her as a threat and her efforts seem to be in vain, but she does not give up and continues under these conditions.
