RE: Al Gets Stuck In A Hidden Camera Show

The problem with writing is that once you release a story it belongs to the audience. Sometimes that audience has me in it. I loved your story but maybe for all the wrong reasons. I think it was a hilarious commentary on the role media plays in our perception of reality, and ultimately on our behavior as individuals and as a group.

Thank you for not killing Al (Why does his name look suspiciously like AI?). That wouldn't have been funny. He is foolish for engaging with Carol at all, and doubly foolish for signing the release. But then, who doesn't want to be on TV :))

Of course reality is what the TV declares it to be, and we, willing dupes, accept that.

Thanks for an entertaining few moments.

I don't that's a wrong reason, to be honest. But, even if it was, my goal with this series is to create an enjoyable/laughing experience. I am proud of my past work, but it was taking a huge emotional/mental toll to create. This series will get a serious short story here or there, but ultimately, the goal is simple enjoyment for the readers.

As for the name, I did realize that, but it has no connection lol. My full name is Al-Amir. I figured Al would work both ways because I AM HORRIBLE in making names.

Of course reality is what the TV declares it to be, and we, willing dupes, accept that.

That's actually the truth behind this story. We have a show like that here called "The Shock" where they do different scenes, none as excessive as a gun, but there couple with hitting, beating, and insulting. My friend appeared in an episode and they did a similar thing to him - the interview, but they did commentate about him being "black-hearted". He had lost both his parents not even 2 full days earlier.

Thank you for not killing Al

Spoilers maybe, but this series won't be having these things. I have killed enough characters in my "Horribly Written" series lol! This one will be just an absurdist series.

Sorry for the long comment, and thank you for reading.
