Oh my heavens, @team4. I raised a teenage girl. Those hours when you worry and can't get in touch...you really bring that experience back. I was a worrier, and I think those teenage years aged me :))

You offer a message, although the reader has to divine it between the words. When children are old enough to have physical autonomy but not old enough to make good decisions, we should tread lightly. There is always the risk of driving them away into a situation that is dangerous.

Fortunately, my daughter never felt the need to run. I always made it so that no matter what she did she knew I would welcome her home and she had nothing to fear from me.

Anyway, you can see how your story impacted me. Well done.
