The One Who Swallowed The Sun

“It was early June, and the Pillager finally set out to seek one of the famed Legendary treasures at sea. I remember— that day, the aroma of Pasu grilled fish filled the air.

As the morning sun peeked through the clouds, Nidera stood on the upper deck, her figure lustful as ever. Heh, I could see each and everyone of my fellow mates gawk at her supple bosoms. There was no denying that we all wanted a night with her.

Hah, forgive my rambles…

Nidera called us over to try the delicacy, and I immediately leapt off the mast, landing firmly on the deck. I unsheathed my blade and squeezed through my gathered mates, preparing to take a few bites before the captain arose from his slumber. After all, we weren't allowed to take any of the spices without his knowing.

That was when the second-mate, Sullivan, let out a deafening shriek. He collapsed backwards and crawled away like a frightened cat. The mates of the Pillager, myself included, wore looks of bewilderment. Even a ghost wouldn't have made the infamous Crimson-killer act so cowardly.

I was going to ask if Nidera’s cooking was that awful, when I suddenly felt a shadow loom over me— over the entire boat.

At this point, the boatswain, along with Nina and other pirates, raised their gazes simultaneously. They all looked at something behind me.

As the scene grew darker and darker, I rotated like a rusty clock.

Then, my gaze fell on the insurmountable celestial light above the world. What we all knew to be the sun was growing fainter, as though it was being rapidly wiped away with a cloth.

Despite my puzzlement, I took a step forward and peered beyond the clouds, trying to get a better look. That was when I saw it. Something the others, except Sullivan, didn't notice.

To them, it probably appeared as though the sun suddenly vanished.

But to the both of us? We saw a harrowing sight that manifested a fear we never thought possible.

The sun was being devoured. Yes, swallowed whole by a serpentine creature that emerged from a depth beyond man's understanding. I watched as light faded from the world, replaced by a choking darkness reminiscent of the great void.

I was never one to be intimidated by size, yet, i thought… How large did a creature have to be to be able to consume the entire sun?”

It leaves you wondering what else lurks beyond human understanding. Truly a powerful and eerie tale...

Indeed! I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Yes, am glad also
