A farmer had a calf of horses and mares, his favorite was a red mare, beautiful, pretty, tall and arrogant. One day the mare woke up down, head down, she couldn't even stand up. His owner, very distraught, called the vet. The vet was late in coming because the farm was too far from town. Upon arrival, the vet examined her and after a long time thinking, thinking, talked to the farmer and recommended a medicine for three days. The medicine was very expensive and in the town there was none but its owner said "The money is to take care of your health" The owner of the farm paid a lot of money to the veterinarian for the consultation and he himself went to another distant town to buy the medicine that I needed. He returned happy to have been able to buy it and was left with the hope that the mare would be cured soon.
The little pig was his companion, friend, brother of life. When he saw what was happening to the mare, he began to encourage her with words of encouragement: - "You can, get up, you are a great helper of the master, do your best and be brave." Every time he saw her sad he made jokes to cheer her up and she was commenting on how important she was to the farm so that he would realize her importance.
The veterinarian went to see how the treatment was working. The first day nothing, no results. The second day either, the third day nothing at all but on the fourth day, if she did not get up they were going to sacrifice her.
Thanks to the good attention and love given by the pig and his words of encouragement, the mare got up and regained her strength.
Seeing her so happy the owner of the farm decided to kill the pig to celebrate that the mare was well, eager to go back to work.
Animals enrich our lives, but something was missing in this story: instead of appreciating the solidarity shown by the little pig, they did not appreciate the great work he did and paid him unfairly, receiving bad for all the good he had done
