Fernando and Mariah made marriage vows to each other in an altar in front of their families and friends fifteen years ago.
Since then things have gone from good to better in their fairy tale like marriage, they had four kids who were doing very well in school.
Fernando was the general manager of his company and Mariah was the CEO of one of the biggest unisex salon in thier state.
They had everything a family could ask for and more and for many years things stayed that way till that fateful day when HE came back into their lives.
Fernando spotted his wife hugging a stranger in front of their house from his car, the stranger was a tall man with long hair.
He parked his car and when he came out to have a better view of who the stranger was, he did not need a second view of the stranger because he was none other than Salazar, his wife's ex.
Salazar was his wife's high school sweetheart, back then when they were all in school Salazar and Mariah were known as the power couple because they were both popular.
Fernando, who had been in love with Mariah, was left with no other option than to watch their public love escapades with bitterness.
After high school, everybody went their separate ways but fortunately for Fernando, he ran into Mariah a couple of years later in a mall and when she told him that she and Salazar had broken up a few years ago it gave him a new rekindled hope. He asked Mariah out on a date and from there, their love tale started.
Fernando thought that he would never see Salazar again but here he was hugging and laughing with his wife.
He shook hands with Salazar with a smiling face but behind the smile was a burning hatred for Salazar, he was shaking hands with the man his wife shared her first kiss with, the man who his wife first had sex with, the man….
I will see you later Fernando my brother, it was nice seeing you again Mariah.
Salazar said as he got into his car and zoomed off, Fernando came to his senses and waved whilst faking a smile.
Before you say anything, i saw him at the mall today with his family and i also asked him to come home with me so we could catch up, nothing else.
Mariah said and pecked Fernando who smiled genuinely this time.
Things returned to normal for a while, their lives continued as it was till Fernando started noticing changes in Mariah's behaviour and movement.
For instance, she shifted the task of picking up the kids after school to Fernando because "the work was too much for her recently", she also came back very late and she always seemed distant and annoyed when they were both in their rooms and to make matters worse she stopped Fernando from touching her.
This sudden change in behaviour worried Fernando so much that he started losing sleep, he always fell asleep at work and during important meetings, his colleague and close friend Hugo noticed this and as a friend he asked Fernando to confide in him.
Well it's my wife, she has been acting very strangely these days and she has refused to tell me what's bothering her.
Hugo pressed further
how has she been acting differently?
Fernando had to tell him everything that has been happening from start to finish.
She started behaving this way ever since she and her ex high school boyfriend linked up. I am suspecting that she is cheating on me with the bastard.
Hugo consoled his friend and said
Listen man, you are stressing yourself over nothing because from my experiences with women, this behaviour is normal and you should give her time to return to her normal self. This is why I'm single because women are too complicated.
Fernando took Hugo's advice and stopped worrying, he played along with her behaviour and sudden outburst of annoyance.
One Friday, Mariah came back from work late as usual and without changing her clothes, she announced to the family that she was travelling to an unknown destination for work and she won't come back for a week.
Fernando was surprised but he did not stop her because he had been planning to follow her and possibly catch her and Salazar together.
She packed a few clothes and zoomed off in her car and was followed closely behind by Fernando who lied to his kids that he was going out to buy some stuff. He took a taxi because he was afraid that Mariah would recognize his car.
When Mariah finally stopped in front of a familiar looking house, she honked and when the owner of the house came out to open the gate, Fernando confirmed his suspicions.
Mariah was cheating on him true enough but he got the biggest shock of life when the man she was cheating on him with was not Salazar but he turned out to be none other than his so called best friend Hugo....

Fernando had reason for suspicion, but it was for a different reason than he believed. Too bad it turned out he could not trust his wife or his best friend.

It's heartbreaking when people aren't loyal to their spouses and children. The kids will have to deal with their parents breaking up, and of course Fernando will have to deal with the fallout of the mother of his children having an affair with his best friend.
