"No one can beat my beauty, I am the princess of this city, so I want to look perfect at this majestic banquet...Look at this Cinderella dress, which I have chosen to wear today, and I am sure I would be the centre of everyone's attention.

These were the words of Dora to her aunt, while she was preparing for the evening banquet at the house of an aristocrate. She was proud for her beauty, and was used to humiliate others for no reason. Her aunt was very sensible lady, she was used to advise her to stop being proud, as it can leads person to be arrogant. She said,

" Dora my dear, everything in this world is mortal, which is going to end one day, so your beauty would also end one day. Never give this snobbish behavior to others."

But her words were useless to Dora, as she was not in mood to hear or understand anything. In the evening she dressed herself in majestic dress, and left for the banquet. On the way, she looked down upon the people around her car. Her car stopped for a second, just then a poor girl came to ask for some money. Dora was furious to see her, and abhors her for being too close to her. The poor girl was embarrassed to receive this harsh treatment. She left the spot with tears in her eyes.

Finally Dora reached at the banquet, and stepped out from her car. Her long tail dress with shiny sandals were looking beautiful and sublime. Photographs were gathered around to capture the lady, who was the centre of everyone's eye. Suddenly one of the photographer stepped on her long tail dress mistakenly. He immediately started to clean the dress with his hands. This infuriate Dora and she started to shout at him.

"How could you dare to touch my dress, with your dirty hands. Be in your limits, and go away from here."

The photographer was also sad to receive this harsh treatment, but he never said a word, and left the place quietly. Just then Dora moved ahead with haughty head. Her eyes were shining, and she was happy to be praised by everyone, without having a little sympathy for others, she never had any regret for humiliating the poor girl and the photographer.

Just then the organiser of the event was on the stage. He thanked everyone for their arrival to make his day more special for him. Just then he praised Dora, and requested her to come on the stage.

" Miss Dora, it would be our honor, if you come on the stage to say something."

She stood up with the same pride, and stepped on the stage, with her gown trailing behind her. Just then she heard a voice of splash, someone, sprinkled the poisoning scent on her. She was going to be unconscious, just then she turned behind to look at the person who did this, and she was shocked, it was the same photographer, she humiliated infront of others. He took his revenge, as she was lying on the stage, unconscious, with her pride besides her.

An over-abundance of pride is never healthy, and as your story demonstrates, it usually does not end well.
