Once, a seed dropped to the ground
On a soil of romance;
And with great vitality, a sprout shot up
In a couple days, a rose!
Watered by passionate promises
And sweet whispers of love,
The rose did bloom with fragrance
And a flamboyance which inspired envy
Then came the dry season
With a dessicating heat that sapped
The vigour of the budding rose
Leaving in the soil a bland plant.
Most relationships that are based on the availability of money and material things do not often stand the test of time, especially during the 'dry season'.
Be in a relationship for the right reason.
Forgo relationships that start like a spark and quickly develop into a mighty flame but die out in no time.
Well, you've resounded it even better than I did. Thanks a lot, friend!
