RE: Inkwell Prompt # 24

Ooh, I love how you built suspense and developed the characters and the eerie atmosphere in this story, @agmoore. And I really like the fact that we don't really don't know how sane Doris is. It got my imagination going! This story could be the beginning of a novel. It's so intriguing and there are so many avenues you could take with it!

Thank you very much, @jayna. I was having a hard day yesterday, dragging along. Then I started editing this and got reacquainted with Doris. I went to bed peaceful and woke up cheerful.

I've said it before: writing is my tonic, and I most love to write stories. I had to chop it to keep it close to Inkwell's guidelines. Chopped almost 2000 words! Still, it works :)) Shows I should have been more economical in the first place.

I appreciate your taking the time to read and comment.

I love that writing is your tonic, @agmoore. How great that it can be the source of a feeling of calm for you!
