Ah, I found it. Part 1. How intriguing. The narrator seems to have been tortured, and barely has any memory of what happened to him.
I felt like a being without beginning. I had no idea who I was, why I was in the condition I was in, and in what condition I was.
That would be so frightening, to have lost oneself and to have lost all bearings!
