Slowly, Moremi opened her eye's, and just then it dawned on her that it was just a dream.
But wait, how could she be dreaming?.. It was too good not to be true, she thought.
This was exactly the second night she was having this same dream, what was the universe trying to tell her she had thought to herself that early morning.
Named after her late mother, Moremi was a paragon of beauty.
She had eyes shaped like that of the goddess Asa.
Her smile was so radiating that it could melt a rock.
People would always insist that Moremi has the beauty of her mother and the gooddes of the sun combined.
Ever since Moremi was a child, she had lacked nothing of course her father chief Ade had made sure of that.
But something was missing. She had never ever had a chance to see the world, she was always locked away in her Father's castle.
And now she would be eighteen years old in a couple of weeks and all she could ever think about is to go on an adventure and go see the world.
Walking towards the dining room that morning she could overhear her father Chief Ade making preparations for her birthday which was in two days to come. However she wasn't really boarded about birthday parties and present anymore but there was no way she could let her father know of this because ever since her mother died her father has always blamed himself for her death.
In the evening, Moremi went for a stroll in her father's garden.
It was then she noticed a young lad, who she had never seen before.
The boy was about her age and he was watering the flowers, moving closer to him, she asked him
what is your name?
She asked in a very calm voice.
my name is Ayo.
he replied shifting his gaze from the flowers to her eye's.
Her heart quickly melted as she noticed that Ayo had this set of dimples on his face which made him so handsome and Charming.
How old are you she asked him? I'm nineteen he replied.
As time passed, Moremi became closer to Ayo and they did almost everything together but Ayo noticed that she rarely smiled so he decided to ask her.
Moremi, what would really make you happy? I have noticed that even though you're blessed with a very beautiful smile, you seem to not really be happy.
Moremi quickly broke down in tears, finally someone had noticed how she felt deep down inside.
She quickly told him of her deepest desires which was to travel far away from her father's castle to see the world.
I have a plan.
Ayo replied.
What plan Ayo?
Moremi asked.
He quickly whispered his plans to her, and she hugged him.
They were going to escape from the castle, of course it wasn't going to be easy and if Ayo was caught he was going to be punished severely but at that moment he didn't really care.
All he wanted was to make this beautiful girl happy.
In the morning, Ayo stole a horse from the stables and not before long Moremi rushed out of her room.
Quickly!!!!!!
Ayo thundered.
Immediately they both fled the castle into the city and as Moremi looked back she remembered the dreams which had been having for a couple of days now and she was extremely happy.
Indeed the universe had granted her innermost desires of going on an adventure to see the world.
At that moment she felt a wave of happiness which she has never ever felt in a long time.
It looks like I was watching the nigeria Disney animation version. 😂
Finally she saw happiness. Too much restrictions doesn’t show how much you love people. At time you just have to let them go and seek happiness for themselves
