This is a wonderful imaginative tale of humanity's far future.
On the surface, it’s almost always daytime, though we’ve adapted over generations. My grandfather once told me the planet was like this because it’s “eccentric.” I still don’t fully understand what that means. I’m just a teenager who isn’t satisfied with his life. Someone who runs whenever he gets the chance.
I like the rich details that compares and contrasts modern with future life.
My planet isn’t the best. It’s eccentric. It’s deadly. I’m not content, but it’s what I was given. I don’t have the resources to move to another world—though I’d love to. A free place, with a blue sky like the ones my grandfather described when I was little.
The premise of surface runners is also a clever idea. It was a pleasure to read.
Hello, I appreciate your comment and I'm glad you enjoyed my story. Yes, it was an idea I got while jogging and I developed it. Thank you again for noticing those details.
